Located on the beautiful Rhodes Island in Greece, the Esperos Palace Hotel at Kallithea Avenue, Rodos 851 00, operates as a resort hotel, providing lodging and serving as a point of interest for travelers. This review synthesizes recent guest feedback to offer a comprehensive insight into the overall experience at this establishment.
The Esperos Palace Resort boasts appealing aesthetics, with guests frequently praising its beautiful location and stunning views. While many appreciate the range of facilities and the potential for a relaxing stay, several recurring concerns, particularly regarding the dining experience and aspects of service, significantly impact overall guest satisfaction.
While the resort offers various dining venues, including "The Burger Project" at Castelo which received a positive mention for its menu, the general sentiment regarding the main hotel buffet and beach bar food leans negative due to taste, healthiness, and high cost. Many guests strongly recommend exploring dining options outside the hotel, either in the nearby city or by purchasing essentials from a local kiosk (a minute's walk away) to avoid the expensive on-site supermarket and hotel water charges. Breakfast was generally considered decent, though some buffet items were found unappetizing by certain guests.
Service feedback is notably contradictory. Some experiences highlight attentive and excellent service, especially from beach-side cocktail service and reception staff. However, other accounts point to significant issues, including rudeness, unhelpfulness, and a perceived rigid, payment-focused approach, particularly concerning unexpected situations like flight cancellations or basic room configuration requests. This inconsistency in service quality is a notable concern.
· There are two nice pools with sun beds, it is on a beautiful beach. The rooms are fully furnished and well equipped (the shower is quite small and there is no kettle or coffee machine ) the view from the balcony is very beautiful. The gym is reasonable and lacks equipment. The hotel staff is pleasant and welcoming.· There is a supermarket inside the hotel where you can find anything (at a very expensive price), so the recommendation is to go 1 min walk outside from the hotel and buy what you need at the kiosk. Regarding the food - it is recommended to stay away from the meals at the hotel, they cost a lot compared to the food in the city and were really not tasty and healthy (30-33 euros per person without drinks). It is recommended to go to the city because there are not many restaurants outside the hotel. When we slept there, it was necessary to make a reservation for the restaurants in the hotel beforehand and it was not possible to go to them spontaneously. The staff and cleaners entered the rooms without knocking on the door and that was unpleasant .
Do yourself a huge favor and skip over this hotel‼️‼️Besides the rude service in the dining room and the unfriendly staff all over the hotel, they also have 0 humanity senses. We ordered room with one large queen bed and got 2 separate without any solution from the staff. The only solution is, of course, PAYING MONEY!In addition, there is a war in our country and our flight has been canceled. We have to stay and wait for updates. The hotel's staff here didn't even try to help us find a place to lay our heads for couple of hours. The only solution that they provided is, guess what, PAY US MORE MONEY.Bad facilities, terrible service.
Small shower and small fridge. Other than that it was great. Edit: food at the beach bar was horrendous and expensive. At the buffet they were charging €3,5 for water. Even though you kinda already had paid for food. I can respect maybe €1 for drinks, but paying that much is kinda weird. We brought our own drinks instead, you should too :-)
The hotel itself is really nice and has all you need and staff were lovely however the only bad thing is the food variety, for Muslims it’s not suitable, as they didn’t have any vegan/vegetarian options or even know what halal Is, and as for buffet the different theme each night wasn’t the case and first night I got there it was Middle Eastern however I saw food such as lasagne and pizza.Back to the good parts, pools were amazing, the views, I had the balcony sea view room it was amazing, staff carried my luggage to my room which was also great and had complimentary birthday cake and with a fee a beautiful bouquet of flowers. The hotel also has a gym and a mini supermarket nearby, and taxis Available, free bus shuttle to take you around the village & to the nearby beach if wanted. The village is lovely to walk around and see the views. In addition they also had tennis which you could book to play which was really fun and saw peacocks which roam freely around the village.Breakfast was decent.
The Hotel has an excellent Service, whether it be the Guys bringing you Cocktails to the Beach, the reception or the Restaurant. We've just booked bed and breakfast and I mainly ate fruits and baked good as you cant really enjoy the Sausages or anything else from the Buffet. the bread was ok and the jam and cheese was also good. You've got an inhouse Supermarkt, more than enough sunbeds (with the above mentioned food and Drinks Service), as well as all the fun water Sport activities you can imagined right at the Beach. jetski, waterski, boat rental(w/o permit), parasailing etc. You have multiple choices where to eat and the menue in the Castelo (The Burger Project) was nice. There are activities all week and more or less every hour of the day.Can fulheartidly recommend this Resort.
