With the entire family we decided to make a one day trip and visit a few interesting places here on the Rhodes island. And so we rented a car directly at the Marathon representative who's been available here at the hotel we're staying in (Mitsis Rodos Maris).All the formal stuff has been sorted out pretty easily and quickly with a help of the onsite Marathon rep.👍🏻 We got a nice Toyota Yaris hybrid, a pretty good car at a fair price.Only one thing that I was very surprised with was... a level of fuel on the car we rented. I've had several cars at many different car rentals in Europe and in the US, but never ever got a car with a level literally like "a little above a half the fuel tank."🤦🏻‍♂️ How was I supposed to return the car with the same fuel level?!??😂🤦🏻‍♂️ This is, I guess, some Greek standard here, right?😂 But ok, overall we're very satisfied with the service and a car itself too.🚙👍🏻

Renting the car was smooth and easy, service very friendly. The car (Fiat 500) was nothing special, but fit for purpose (daytrip from Kiotari to Rhodos town). We can recommend Marathon rent a car

It’s just the amount from the price list.When we reserved our car they gave us the emergency number and explained us how this works. We booked a car for 3 days from the Marathon car hire branch in the lobby of our hotel in the Mitsis Maris Rodos Resort and Spa ... and it worked perfectly.First of all, the prices are very good. Very competitive and you need not go looking for a better offer. You may find one, but the service won't match.First of all, we chose a car and were given the very exact model we asked for, a Toyota Aygo, the smallest in the fleet, but for 2 people very good and perfect for some of the smaller mountain roads and tight parking in some places.The contract is explained beforhand in detail. There are no hidden costs and things like insurance are explained before you sign. If you agree, sign. If you don't, walk away, no one forces anything on you.The vehicle was handed over to us and a walk-around was done in our presence with all damages noted. I also took a video which was welcomed. After agreeing on damages, the fuel level is noted and when both parties are happy, these details are noted on the hire contract. You sign and take the car. Before you go though, the very nice marathon employees give you an island map (tourist map) and gives you a few pointers of things worth looking at.After that, you take the car, use it, fuel it up and bring it back.There are some reports of hidden cleaning costs. Nonsense. If you treat the car properly then things are fine. A bit of sand or dirt is totally acceptable, it is a beach island after all. If you leave it like a rubbish bin, don't be surprised to catch an extra cleaning fee.On return, I handed over the contract, the aforementioned damages and fuel level was checked and within 2 minutes I handed over the key and that was that.If you want a top service, then be a top customer. Fully recomendable and I would use this service any time. Extreme good value for money, very simple and quick and no catches.Thankyou for your great service. And no, I didn't get a car for free to write this, it is my own personal opinion after using this hire service.
