The hotel was amazing. We stayed in August and we had a lovely time there with my family. The food was excellent, the staff was very attentive and helpful. Especially one member of the team tried to make our stay even more special.sGianna Kostopoulou took care of our special requests regarding our restaurant reservations and our anniversary. She sent us a lovely cake and a prosecco. We really enjoyed it. The rooms are really clean, there is a mini bar free of charge and they refill it everyday. Our nights by the pool was incredible, there was everything entertainment. Our favourite. The encore band. We can' t wait to come back, and enjoy our time there. Thank you very much grand team! See you soon xxx
There is nothing grand about this hotel. It is unhygienic and shabby. Only positive is the location, as it is well located to reach the old town by foot.Food was repetitive, allergens not labelled, despite emailing before we booked to confirm there would be food for our dietary requirements. I had to ask what I could eat every day at great inconvenience to the chefs. Some staff were helpful and friendly, but some were outright rude. I watched a young girl try to show her birthday badge to a woman working on the door of the restaurant - she looked at the girl with contempt then completely ignored her. I noticed this same woman behave rudely to several guests, and was put in a horrible situation when I had been sat down by staff and another guest sat at our table whilst we went to collect food. The staff were not watching and, even when they noticed the other guests shouting at us, didn’t sort it out.My husband got food poisoning and the hotel insisted we ring for a doctor, who then charged us £150 for the call out and insisted it wasn’t the hotel food (it was). Our room was full of mould and looked terrible. They were extremely reluctant to refund us for a trip we had booked through their concierge that we could no longer attend due to the illness, despite us giving over 24 hours notice.Perhaps we were not the intended guests (young couple honeymooning) - the hotel was mostly older groups and families, but I really do not understand the positive reviews about this place. See photos for the mould in the room that was present throughout.
We have just returned home from what we can only describe as a fantastic holiday at your hotel. Thank you so much for making our holiday very enjoyable. Food choices were varied and of great quality. Loved the pizza and crepes out by the pool area too.I will most definitely be recommending your hotel to prospective customers looking for a quality stay in Rhodes.Your staff were very attentive, ensuring we were being looked after and checking we were enjoying our stay.I’m not sure if your hotel does staff recognition awards at all but we would like you to note and also pass on our thanks to Inna, (she told us she was 19 and loved Haribos and cocktails just in case there are more than one called Inna) she served us whilst watching the Latin show , our son had a hot chocolate!Thank you again for a wonderful time.
Loved staying here. Everything was fantastic. Loved the different restaurant options in addition to the buffet. Location was perfect. Literally on the beach! Would 100% rebook 😎 ☀️
A lovely family focused hotel on the beach. Rooms are spacious and air conditioned but some furniture is a little tired. Beds are very comfy and huge. On asking for a room with a shower hand rail, I was amazed to return to our room to find a new rail installed! Bravo housekeeping! Food is first class with lots of options. Pools offer lots of places to relax and location is convenient for bathing in the sea. Drinks are quality and copious (we recommend the all inclusive option). Service is polite and attentive. We continue to rate this hotel and its staff. There are more ‘modern’ Mitsis hotels on Rhodes but the ‘Mitsis Grand Beach Hotel’ is by far our favourite - we should know, we have been coming here for over two decades.
