Nestled in Lindos, Rhodes Island, the Aquapark Olive Garden offers a delightful escape for families and individuals looking for a fun day out. This amusement park, part of the wider Olive Garden establishment, presents a varying experience depending on when you visit and what package you choose.

Key Features & Attractions 💦

  • Water Slides: The park features several slides for adults and older children. While older reviews mentioned some slides being out of order, more recent comments suggest a fully operational experience.
  • Lazy River: A relaxing "lazy river" allows guests to float around the park in inflatable circles, offering a calmer alternative to the slides.
  • Kids' Zone: There is a dedicated children's section, though its suitability varies. Older reviews noted it might be better for children aged 5-6 and above due to strong water pressure, rather than the stated 3 years.
  • Swimming: It's important to note that the park is primarily focused on slides and the lazy river, with limited space for free swimming.

Access & Pricing Options 💰

The Aquapark Olive Garden caters to both hotel guests and day visitors. For guests of the Olive Garden Hotel, entry to the aquapark is free. For non-hotel guests, there are a few pricing models:

  1. Standard Day Entry: Older reviews cited adult entry at 10€ and children at 5€. However, this pricing may be outdated and doesn't include food/drinks.
  2. All-Inclusive Day Package: A highly recommended option by recent visitors is the all-inclusive package. For instance, a family of 2 adults and 2 children (aged 9 and 13) paid 65€, which included not only aquapark access but also unlimited food and drinks from the hotel's all-inclusive offerings (breakfast from 07:30, lunch, and dinner until 22:00). This package was praised for its exceptional value, including good quality drinks like Tequila Sunrise.

Facilities & Amenities 🚿🍕

Recent improvements at Aquapark Olive Garden are evident in the updated facilities. What was once criticized for lacking basic amenities now offers:

  • Toilets: Available on-site.
  • Changing Rooms: Provided for convenience.
  • Bar & Pizza Station: Guests can enjoy refreshments and meals directly within the park area, particularly beneficial for those on the all-inclusive package.
  • Lifeguards: The lifeguards are frequently praised for being friendly, attentive, and maintaining order gently and with a smile.

Experience for Different Age Groups 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

The park's suitability varies significantly across age groups:

  • Toddlers & Babies: Older reviews strongly advised against bringing very young children (under 3 years old, especially crawling babies), stating there's nothing suitable for them, and they were still charged an entry fee. The children's pool, at 40cm deep, offers little for non-walkers, and the stronger water features in the kids' zone can be intimidating for toddlers.
  • Young Children (5-6 years): The kids' zone appears more appropriate for this age group, who can better handle the water features.
  • Older Children (9-13 years): The slides are well-suited for older children, offering enjoyable thrills.
  • Adults: While adults can enjoy the slides and the lazy river, it's not a place for free swimming. However, the all-inclusive package makes it an excellent value for adults seeking a relaxed day with good food and drinks.

Overall Impressions & Recommendations ✨

The Aquapark Olive Garden seems to have undergone significant positive developments over the past few years. While earlier reviews highlighted issues with slide functionality, lack of amenities, and unsuitability for very young children, more recent feedback paints a picture of an improving and enjoyable destination.

Pros:

  • Excellent Value with All-Inclusive: If you're planning a full day, the all-inclusive package is highly recommended for its cost-effectiveness, providing unlimited food and drinks.
  • Less Crowded: Compared to larger water parks on the island, Olive Garden often experiences fewer queues, leading to a more relaxed experience.
  • Friendly Staff: Lifeguards are noted for their pleasant demeanor and effective oversight.
  • Improved Facilities: The addition of toilets, changing rooms, and food/drink stations significantly enhances the visitor experience.

Considerations:

  • Not for Toddlers: Families with very young children might find limited options and feel the entry fee is not justified for infants.
  • Adult Swimming: Don't expect large pools for extensive swimming.
  • Check Slide Status: While improvements are noted, it's always a good idea to confirm slide operational status upon arrival.
  • Weather: If windy, some areas around water features might get splashy.

In conclusion, Aquapark Olive Garden is a strong contender for a family day out in Rhodes, especially if you opt for the all-inclusive package and have children aged 5-6 and above. It offers a good balance of fun, relaxation, and value, particularly in quieter periods like September.

We were here like guests (not stayed at Olive Garden hotel). Adults 10€, kids 5 €. They force us to pay for 10 months old baby... At aqua park there are nothing for babys. Kids zone stated to be from 3 y.o., but in reality from 5-6 y.o.1 from 3 slides for adults were not working (nobody said about it at the reception). There are no toilet and dressers in the area of aqua park.

Went here just has day visitors.13€ taxi from pefkos and €65 entrance for 2 adults and 2 kids(9 and 13) which includes access to the all inclusive. So basically €65 for entrance and unlimited food.Slides very similar to beers and burgers (which we passed on route) but bigger so better for older ones although there is a little kids section aswell as a lazy river.Imo, can't go wrong for the price alone.

We visited 3 aqua parks on the island. From the largest one in the north, to two in the Lindos area. Olive garden is what we will remember best. It's not as big as the one from the north, but there are no queues and very nice service. I recommend taking the all-inclusive package at the hotel. We paid 86 Euro for 2+2, but we had unlimited access to meals, drinks, etc. (starting with breakfast at 07:30, through lunch and dinner until 22:00). The drinks were of good quality (e.g. Tequila sunrise). The water park lifeguards are very friendly. They keep order, but (when they have to) they pay attention in a nice, gentle way. Always with a smile. There were very few people in September. There is a bar, pizza station, toilets and changing rooms on site. You can see that the place has been expanded in the last year. I RECOMMEND!

The water park is free for guests of the Olive Garden Hotel. For others, entry is for a fee. But entry is possible for everyone. Great fun for kids. Not much for adults - you can't swim freely there. Around the water slides is a "lazy river" where you can circle in inflatable circles.

We visited this place as non-hotel guests. Entrance cost for an adult is 10 €, for children 3.5 years and 10 months for 5 €. At the same time, there is absolutely nothing for a crawling baby, since the children's pool is 40 cm deep. There is no toilet, no changing cabins, no shower. The fact that the slide with buns does not work became known when climbing the slide itself. And we actually came only because of her.The children's area is all water driven, with an unlimited number of fountains and showers. The description says that for children from 3 years old, but most likely only from 5-6. Kids are simply afraid of strong pressure. In addition, there was wind and all the sunbeds around were under constant rain.In general, they ripped off the money and are happy...I think the slides at the hotel are great, but going on purpose is 100% not worth it.
