Çatlak Beach & Camping

Nestled in Hisarönü, Marmaris/Muğla, Türkiye, Çatlak Beach & Camping offers a unique and charming experience for travelers, particularly those exploring with campervans and caravans. Despite its address sometimes leading to confusion, this Turkish gem is praised for its scenic beauty, friendly atmosphere, and essential amenities, making it a noteworthy point of interest.
Location & Access 🗺️
Finding Çatlak Beach & Camping can be an adventure in itself. Reviewers note it's "not the easiest to find," with the final 60 meters requiring travel along the beach. While the beach road can be "a bit soft," guests have successfully navigated it, including those with larger vehicles like a 6-meter long, 3.85-tonne motorhome. Its location provides a "great location and view" and "beautiful surroundings."
Facilities & Amenities ✨
This campground offers a "small, basic, shabby chic" yet "cosy" setup. Key amenities include:
- Utility Hookups: Electricity, blackwater, and freshwater are all included in the nightly fee, which is a significant plus for caravanners.
- Comfort Facilities: Clean toilets and showers are available, ensuring a comfortable stay.
- On-site Dining: The presence of a "good restaurant" adds convenience, allowing guests to dine without leaving the premises.
- Natural Comforts: The site benefits from ample shade and a refreshing breeze, crucial for warmer days.
- Pet-Friendly Environment: Travelers with dogs will appreciate that the campsite is welcoming to pets, with two friendly resident dogs on the premises.
It's noted that the site is "better equipped to receive campervans" due to potential height limits posed by trees and electrical wires, distinguishing it from a purely glamping space, though it does offer lodging options.
Atmosphere & Hospitality 😌
The spirit of Çatlak Beach & Camping is defined by its warm and inviting atmosphere. Guests consistently highlight the "nice owner" and "extremely kind and attentive hosts" who go out of their way to meet visitors' needs. This personal touch contributes to a "friendly" and welcoming vibe, making many feel lucky to have stumbled upon this spot.
Pricing & Best Time to Visit 🗓️
Pricing may vary by season, but past reviews indicate rates of approximately 300 Turkish Lira (TL) per night in April 2023, and potentially 15 Euro per night when found before the official opening. For those seeking a quieter experience, visiting "after season" or during the "first days of October" is suggested as a potentially better time, contributing to the feeling of a "cosy, friendly and beautiful placed camping."
Ideal for Travelers 🚐
Çatlak Beach & Camping is an "interesting place, good for travelers!" especially those embarking on road trips with caravans or motorhomes. It provides essential services to "charge and wash" up, making it a perfect stopover for adventurers along the Turkish coast.
Not the easiest to find and the last 60 metres is along the beach. We have a 6m long, 3.85 tonne motorhome and we did it easily. The campsite is small, basic, shabby chic with a nice owner. The outlook is very pleasant. Cost per night in April, 2023 was 300TL. Electricity, blackwater and freshwater included.
If you are looking camping for caravan, this is THE PLACE! We love it - as a cosy, friendly and beautiful placed camping. Surprised so low reviews. Maybe after season is much better. We came first days October.
We were lucky to have this campsite along the way, great location and view. There is everything you need. Charged and washed. Interesting place, good for travelers! Thanks a lot!
We accidentaly found this location, right before they officialy opened for this season. It's better equiped to receive campervans because of the height limit imposed by the trees and electrical wires, although it is primarily a glamping space with a restaurant.Whatever it is, we had a great time there, and the hosts were extremely kind and attentive to our needs. The fee was 15 euro/ night, we had toilets, shower, great view, good restaurant, shade, breeze. They have 2 dogs on the premises but they are friendly , so it was great for us(also travelling with a dog).
