An absolute joke of a stay. Upon check-in on Aug 12, we were notified by the fire department of Athens that our property was in danger and had to leave immediately due to the large wildfires that reached the suburbs of Athens. Shortly after notifying the host upon our decision to leave, another couple showed up and said that the host was able to accommodate them for the night. While this made us feel good about the host's ability to find alternative guests, we were disappointed to learn that the host refused to refund our booking when we requested it, citing that the deadline of the refund at the property had passed (15 days before our arrival). While I'm sure Atlantis Houses can be a great place to stay in beautiful Chalki, I hope my unfortunate experience can serve as a cautionary signal for future guests about the host's handling of unexpected circumstances.

Atlantis has a series of houses. We booked Tholos. It was a beautiful room but not as clean as I would want. The view from the terrace was great! Generally, it was nice but not something special

I recently booked an apartment that looked great in the photos, but the reality was shockingly different. Upon arrival, we had no information about where to go or how to find the key for the room. We had to call them ourselves to find out, as there was no information provided about our check-in.The room was extremely small, nothing like what was advertised. There was no TV, and the only window was right next to the bed, which was stuck against the wall. The bed was fine, but the overall space was cramped and uncomfortable.The bathroom was unbelievably tiny—about 1.2 meters by 80 cm. I had to shower practically on top of the toilet and right next to the sink. There was no space to move, and it was impossible to shower without flooding the entire bathroom. The overall cleanliness of the apartment was also questionable, with a lingering smell and visible grime.To make matters worse, I contacted Booking.com for help, but they didn't even try to solve my problem. When we tried to find a solution ourselves, the person we spoke to on the phone demanded we pay more than we had already paid if we wanted to change accommodations. They insisted on cash payments until we finally negotiated a bank transfer.This place was not cheap at all, and I feel completely ripped off by the entire experience. It was an experience I never want to go through again. Avoid this place at all costs! It’s misleading, uncomfortable, and a total waste of money. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to stay.

The biggest booking scam!!!We paid 192 euros for accommodation for one night which was not offered to us and the owner not only stole our money and did not return it but also put others in the accommodation we had paid for so he surely made double gain of money!Stay away!!

We (couple) stayed in the Blue house for 3 nights. Close to the harbour and the restaurants. It was a joy to sit on the verandah and gaze out over the bay. We only made coffee, but there were plenty of pans and a 2 plate electric grill/oven. The shower room/toilet is off the living area, the double beds are up a stairway where it can be warm, but there are windows front and back and airco. A delightful comfortable traditional house. We were sad to leave. (By the way, no cockrels seen nor heard)
