Club areena

Located at Hacimustafa sk. No.125 barlar sokagi, Tepe, 48700 Marmaris/Muğla, Türkiye, Club Areena positions itself as a prominent nightclub and point of interest. As a popular establishment, it offers an energetic atmosphere and distinct entertainment, but potential visitors should be aware of a highly mixed bag of experiences, ranging from highly positive to significantly negative concerning safety and billing.
The Highlights: Music, Vibe, and Early Perks ✨
- Lively and Engaging Atmosphere: Club Areena is frequently lauded for its vibrant energy and impressive ambiance. Many guests find the lighting and overall setup superior to other venues, creating a dynamic party environment. It is noted that the club can become extremely busy, particularly after 11 PM.
- Diverse Musical Selection: The club’s playlist often features a blend of English and Turkish music, aiming to cater to a broad audience. While some patrons might find Turkish music predominant, this mix generally keeps the energy high.
- Interactive Entertainment: A standout feature of Club Areena is the presence of dancers, both male and female, performing directly on the bar. This adds a unique and highly engaging element to the clubbing experience.
- Friendly Service (in some instances): Several reviews mention friendly and attentive waiters, with some instances of complimentary nuts and fruits being provided. Additionally, arriving early can offer the benefit of not paying an entry fee.
The Concerns: Serious Allegations and Inconsistencies 🚨
A significant and concerning issue highlighted in multiple reviews pertains to allegations of extortion and aggressive billing practices. Visitors have reported incidents where card payments were seemingly accepted, only for staff to later demand a second payment in cash, often accompanied by intimidation and refusal to let patrons leave until payment is made. This is a severe caution for anyone planning to visit.
Other frequently mentioned drawbacks include:
- High Drink Prices and Variable Quality: While one review suggested drinks were inexpensive, the overwhelming majority describe them as quite expensive, especially for locals. There are also mentions of drinks being of poor quality. One patron reported paying £140 for a single bottle.
- Inconsistent Staff Conduct: Despite some positive mentions of staff, there are also reports of negative interactions, including attempts by staff to remove guests for minor reasons, and unprofessional behavior from certain individuals, such as trying to obtain personal contact details from female patrons while on duty.
- DJ Performance and Music Preference: Some visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with the DJ's performance and music selection, finding it potentially repetitive or not entirely suited for international tourists who might prefer less Turkish-centric music.
Pricing and Value 💸
The pricing structure at Club Areena appears to be a significant point of contention. While the opportunity to enter for free by arriving early is a perk, the cost of drinks inside is frequently cited as high. This makes it a potentially expensive night out, particularly if consuming multiple beverages or opting for bottles.
Key Advice Before Visiting ⚠️
Club Areena undeniably offers an exhilarating and visually stimulating nightlife experience in Marmaris. However, the serious and recurring allegations of financial misconduct and aggressive staff behavior necessitate considerable caution. Prospective visitors are strongly advised to:
- Exercise extreme vigilance with all payments, ideally paying with cash only and always requesting and retaining receipts.
- Be fully aware of drink prices before placing an order to prevent unexpected charges.
- Consider visiting in a group and maintaining awareness of your surroundings and interactions with club staff.
Ultimately, while some patrons have described Club Areena as "the best club" they visited, others have issued strong warnings to "beware of this club." Your personal experience may vary significantly, but it is vital to be informed about both the potential entertainment value and the documented risks.
Wow the best club we went so fare. The music is a combination of English and Turkish and they have girls and mens how dance on the bar. The waiters are very friendly and the drinks are not expensive. Is a very popular club and can be very busy after 23pm. If you go earlier you don't pay the entry.
Please beware of this club! The music is fantastic, the drinks are good but quite expensive. The most important reason to steer clear of this club is the fact that there have been multiple reports of extorting tourists (see also Tripadvisor). At the end of the night I paid with a card, the transaction was accepted on the terminal which was clearly visible to them. When I tried to leave they suddenly closed the doors and said I can not leave until I paid the balance again in cash. Meanwhile the staff starts to surround you and intimidate you. Eventually you have to walk to an ATM under supervision of more than 15 men, which I refused. They will get increasingly more aggressive and intimidating. I would advise everyone to avoid this club and to go elsewhere!
Nice place but too much expensive for locals, good thing is they bring some nuts and fruits for free to taste. You need to organize with your friend then you could have fun. The light and the atmosphere is way good than the other places.
Some guy was about to throw me out of the club for talking to a girl even tho i paid £140 for a bottle but my brother alper simsek was a good guy and served us drinks hes a decent guy but that blonde guy is a wasteman. He was the one trying to get girls numbers, although he’s a waitressJoke
Very bad place for tourist I don't recommand it at all. The Dj is really bad, the drinks are bad quality and too much expensive. It is not made for tourists since most of the music is in turkish.
