Cyprotel Faliraki Hotel

FEATURES
Located in the vibrant Faliraki Area B on Rhodes Island, Greece, Cyprotel Faliraki is frequently chosen by families seeking a comfortable and engaging holiday experience. This lodging establishment, while offering many commendable features, also presents certain aspects that guests feel could be enhanced.
The Good: Sparkling Pools, Engaging Entertainment & Dedicated Staff ☀️
Many guests consistently highlight the hotel's strengths, particularly its excellent facilities and the warm hospitality of its team.
- Family-Focused Facilities: The hotel boasts outstanding pools and grounds, including a highly appreciated onsite water park with slides that keep children of all ages (from babies to teenagers) well entertained. These areas are noted for being very clean and easily accessible from guest rooms.
- Dining Experience (Mixed but Mostly Positive): While some reviews indicate a desire for more variety or improved taste, many guests praise the delicious food and dishes, with a special shout-out to the chefs. The availability of snacks and ice cream around meal times, along with the choice between a poolside snack bar (offering burgers, salads) and a full buffet, contributes to a satisfying culinary experience for many, ensuring no one goes hungry.
- Exceptional Staff & Service: The staff are frequently described as friendly, pleasant, welcoming, and particularly good with children. Numerous accounts mention staff members going "above and beyond" to ensure guest needs are met, including a special commendation for the assistant manager. The hotel's entertainment team receives universal acclaim for their amazing efforts, putting on enjoyable daily entertainment and captivating evening shows that attract a large portion of the hotel's guests.
- Spacious Rooms with Views: Rooms are generally reported to be spacious and bright, with some offering beautiful views that allow guests to greet the sunrise over the sea. Family rooms, with multiple bedrooms, are noted as being a very good size and quiet during core sleep times.
- Convenient Transport: The provision of a free hotel bus to the beach, along with options for a land train into Faliraki and a coach to Rhodes Town, is a significant convenience for guests wishing to explore the island without the need for a car.
Areas for Improvement: Room for Polish & Beverage Quality 👎
Despite the positive feedback, several guests have pointed out specific areas where the hotel could significantly improve its offerings and guest experience.
- Beverage Quality: This is a frequently raised concern. Drinks at the bar, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are often described as basic, not very tasty, off-brand, and even "disgusting." This aspect seems to be a notable detractor from an otherwise enjoyable all-inclusive experience.
- Room Maintenance & Amenities: While some rooms are praised for space and views, others report significant issues. These include bathrooms in need of updates (some mentioning sewage odors), non-closing bathroom doors, ants on balconies, dirty headboards, stained blankets/curtains, and poorly maintained electrical outlets (e.g., a plug "hanging off the wall" with sellotape). Air conditioning issues have also been noted.
- Food Consistency & Variety: While some find the food delicious, others describe it as bland with limited variety, especially breakfast being the "same every single day." The snack bar food is also occasionally criticized as being "inedible."
- Reception & Arrival Experience: Some guests found reception staff to be unfriendly or unhelpful upon arrival, especially concerning guidance for navigating the "big and confusing" complex to find their rooms at night.
- Pool Temperature & Sun Loungers: The pools, including the water park, are sometimes described as being "cold," which can be a "massive shock" when using the slides. Finding available sun loungers by the pool is also cited as an "impossible task" during peak times.
- Perceived Star Rating: A recurring sentiment among several guests is that the hotel, despite being advertised as a 4-star establishment, feels more like a 3-star property, primarily due to the issues with room condition and food quality.
Overall Impression
Cyprotel Faliraki Hotel largely succeeds as a destination for families, offering a safe environment, engaging activities, and a genuinely friendly and attentive staff, particularly the exceptional entertainment team. Guests looking for an active holiday with good pool facilities and a family-friendly atmosphere will likely find it enjoyable. However, those expecting a refined 4-star experience in terms of room amenities, consistent food quality, and premium beverage options might find certain aspects disappointing. With improvements in these specific areas, Cyprotel Faliraki has the potential to elevate its guest experience to match its advertised star rating fully.
The hotel left only positive impressions.Good service, friendly and pleasant staff.Delicious food and dishes, a big thank you to the chefs!Spacious and bright rooms with beautiful views, allowing us to greet the sunrise over the sea every morning. An entertaining evening show program that attracted half the hotel’s guests.I'm taking off one star only for the drinks at the bar, which were quite basic in preparation and not very tasty.
1 week stay with family of 5 end of August. We all really enjoyed this holiday and hotel. Hotel facilities-pools, grounds and restaurant are excellent, very clean and within easy walking distance of the rooms. We loved that the kids could go and get snacks and ice creams around mealtimes and you could choose to have lunch at the pool snack bar (burgers, salads etc) or the full buffet from the restaurant. We got the free hotel bus to the beach and also the land train into Faliraki and coach to Rhodes one evening which was great and gave opportunity to explore without needing a car. It was the perfect setting for us with having both a baby plus a junior and teenager- having the fun water park pool onsite was useful as we could take the older kids there while baby napped. All of the hotel staff were welcoming and very good with our children - a special mention to the assistant manager, who assisted us on several occasions and really went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Our room was a very good size-we had 2 full size bedrooms and it was quiet during core sleep times. Our bathoom could benefit from a slight update but useful it had a bath/shower and cleaned every day. We all really enjoyed our stay and would certainly visit again.
Spotted some negative reviews and nearly didn't book... I'm so glad, the place was perfect for the family, a good safe environment for the kids, very friendly staff, helpful, plenty of things to keep the kids occupied, all the pools were fantastic as well as the slides...food, snacks & drinks available all day. A good variety each day, you would never get hungry... the pool bar staff looked after me 👍. The night shows were very enjoyable to all. I will definitely be coming back next year!
Not the best but okay..food was bland and not a lot of variety other food served at the snack bar was simply inedible. the pool area is nice, pools are cold so is the pool at the water park so it’s a massive shock hurling down into freezing cold water. Served off brand drinks that were disgusting and the alcoholic drinks weren’t very nice either. Our bathroom door in our room didn’t shut and ants everywhere on balcony. finding a sun lounger by the pool is an impossible task. definitely wouldn’t say it’s a 4 star hotel but it’s okay.
Not a 4 star hotel !!!!! If you are coming to this hotel please do not expect this hotel to be like another 4 star hotel. I have been to many 4 star hotels and this is definitely the worst. If this was advertised as a 3 star I would’ve have been disappointed as it’s definitely a 3 star . The food is basic and bland . Same breakfast every single day with no variation and dinners and snack bar the same. The rooms are bad . I had better rooms on my girls holidays to napa and kavos. Very basic design , the head board was dirty , stain on the blanket and curtains and our 1 plug we had in our room was hanging off the wall .. with Sellotape keeping it together. The bathroom had a horrible stench of sewage everyday and the aircon hardly worked. The staff on reception are not friendly and give no help on arrival. Very hard to find your room we was walking around at night lugging our luggage around to try and fine the room with no help what so ever ( the complex is big and confusing). However the only thing holding this hotel together is the entertainment team ! They are amazing and so nice. Everyday putting on the best entertainment and making sure all guest are happy with their stay . The shows were amazing at night and we had the best time. They are the people who give this hotel the 4 star!I wouldn’t say this is the worst hotel but due to the rooms being so bad and the food, it should not be a 4 star at all and this needs to be reevaluated. Because you do have a shock coming into your room on the first night.
