- Many rooms offer private balconies or terraces with views of the pool or garden.
- One common suggestion was for walk-in showers instead of showers in baths.
- Some guests found the beds uncomfortable, suggesting an improvement in mattresses and pillows.
- Notably, the hotel handles issues effectively; an air conditioning leak was quickly resolved with an upgrade to a studio apartment and a great pool view, complete with complimentary fruit and wine as an apology.
Dining & Culinary Offerings 🍽️
The hotel's dining experience presents a mixed picture:
- The buffet breakfast received positive feedback for its "so many choices" and being "really great," featuring a variety of fresh, local produce, Greek pastries, and international options.
- However, some reviews criticized the overall food quality, describing it as "not good at all, very average and low quality," leading them to seek dining options elsewhere. Breakfast was also described by some as "quite poor."

- Rhodes town is just a short taxi ride away, and the hotel offers easy access to its cultural attractions.
- Hiring a car is recommended for greater convenience in exploring the island.
Evening Entertainment & Atmosphere 🎶
This is an area where guest experiences diverge:
- Some guests, particularly repeat visitors, noted a decline in evening entertainment, stating it was "very quiet and lacking atmosphere" compared to previous stays when it "used to buzz."
- Specific feedback included "no Karaoke now," a "less busy" bar, and acts being "hardly audible," sounding like "background music."
- Conversely, another review mentioned a "cozy lounge area in the evening, where live music performances add a lovely ambiance." This suggests the quality or type of entertainment might vary, or previous issues have been addressed.
Conclusion ✨
The Dionysos Hotel is generally well-regarded for its friendly and efficient staff, spacious and clean rooms, and excellent pool facilities. Its prime location in Ialysos provides both tranquility and easy access to local amenities and Rhodes town. While some aspects of the dining and evening entertainment have received mixed feedback, the hotel's ability to resolve issues promptly and its overall welcoming atmosphere make it a solid choice for a relaxing stay on Rhodes Island.
Guests looking for Greek hospitality and a comfortable base to explore Rhodes will likely find the Dionysos Hotel a valuable option, with potential for an even more enhanced experience if the noted areas for improvement are addressed.
This is our second time here. It's a lovely hotel and the staff are a delight. I wish they had a walk in shower rather than a shower in a bath but that's just my opinion, other than that the rooms are great, the buffet breakfast has so many choices and is really great. The swimming pool is fantastic with a bar at one end. Unfortunately the evening entertainment is very quiet and lacking atmosphere unlike the first time we stayed here, (it really used to buzz) there is no Karaoke now and we have noticed the bar is less busy, when the acts are on you can hardly hear them and it just sounds like background music which doesn't seem to draw the guests the way it used to. We love where the Hotel is positioned as it's easy to walk into lalysos and just a short taxi ride to town. The beach opposite is really good with toilets and a great beach cafe.
Nice quiet location, reception staff are absolutely brilliant, so helpful and listen to everything you asked them. The cleaning staff are so polite always speak to you when passing and do a fabulous job and notice a lot of them do other jobs in the hotel throughout the day and evening
We stayed in the hotel for a week. The rooms were nice, we stayed in two different ones as there was twice issues but they gave us an upgrade and apologised and gifted us with complementary fruit and wine.Spacious and cleaned every day, bed was uncomfortable could do with better mattress and pillows. The food in the hotel was not good at all, very average and low quality so we didn’t eat there again. Breakfast a lot to be desired for quite poor too for what I experienced in the past in hotels. Staff was usually helpful and friendly however the evening receptionist man was not helpful or didn’t seem to understand very well. Pool temperature is too cold but the set up is nice. Location is good , plenty of restaurants/bars, the beach and bus stops or taxi station. I would recommend hiring a car as it is more handy. Overall was a good stay if they improve some things.
Amazing hotel, pool is big and clean, rooms were great and staff were very helpful, espically irene on reception, she was brilliant. The hotel porters were very helpful, and our stay was great. The first night we arrived and there was a problem with the air conditioning in our room, it had a leak which cause a little damp, the hotel housekeeping manager came in the morning an took us to a new room, which was a upgrade into a studio apartment with a great pool side view. This is now our rhodes Hotel, anytime we visit.
