Elissa Adults-Only Lifestyle Beach Resort

Nestled on the beautiful Rhodes Island, the Elissa Adults-Only Lifestyle Beach Resort promises a luxurious and serene getaway. This establishment, categorized as a resort hotel, hotel, lodging, and point of interest, offers a blend of relaxation and vibrant experiences for its adult guests. Based on recent visitor feedback, here's an in-depth look at what to expect.
Accommodations & Comfort ✨
Guests frequently praise the resort's rooms for being good, clean, and spacious, ideal for two. Many rooms boast stunning sea and pool views, providing a picturesque backdrop to your stay. A highlight for some is the luxurious touch of a private sauna and living room within their accommodation. The beds are consistently described as huge and super comfy, ensuring a restful night's sleep. While rooms are nicely decorated, one guest noted some awkward chair placement that could impede space, suggesting a minor design tweak for optimal comfort.
Dining Experience & Bars 🍹
The culinary offerings at Elissa are a significant draw, with the food often described as "amazing." The resort features several restaurants, including a steakhouse, Japanese, and seafood option, catering to diverse palates. For those opting for the all-inclusive package, the ability to "eat and drink to [their] heart's content" is a major plus. Breakfast, while decent, was mentioned as being the same every day, and one guest humorously pointed out the absence of baklava among the local dessert spread.
Pools, Beach & Facilities 🏖️
Elissa boasts a prime location with a stunning beach right next to the property, complete with comfortable beds, clear waters, and clean sand—a definite highlight for beach lovers. The resort grounds are described as beautiful, clean, and well-organized, featuring numerous pools. However, a recurring comment is that the pool water can be "so cold," leading to a suggestion for a heating system or leveraging them as an AC heat sink for dual benefit. The beach area near the pool is also well-liked. The resort offers a spa, though it's important to note that access (e.g., sauna and hammam) comes at an additional cost (€60 for two hours).
Service & Staff Interaction 😊
The staff at Elissa generally receive high marks for being friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Many guests felt greeted with smiles and kindness from arrival, with staff readily explaining hotel offerings and providing assistance. One guest appreciated the swift resolution to a dinner issue, highlighting the staff's willingness to assist. However, some feedback indicates that service can be "hit and miss," with a portion of staff, while professional, being described as "stern and a little aloof," perhaps aligning with a "lifestyle hotel" ambiance.
Atmosphere & Entertainment 🎶
As an adults-only resort, Elissa aims for a peaceful environment. Guests noted the presence of "attractive young guests," contributing to a vibrant atmosphere. Live music in the evenings adds to the fun and creates an "unforgettable stay." Conversely, one review mentioned that the resort sometimes felt "mostly filled with teenagers playing loud music around the pool," which could contradict the expected adults-only tranquility.
Areas for Consideration 📝
While largely positive, some guests highlighted areas that could enhance the overall experience:
- Pool Temperature: The "so cold" pools were a consistent point, impacting enjoyment for some.
- Air Conditioning & Room Amenities: Some units struggled in hot weather. Issues were noted with empty mini-fridges (requiring self-loading) and a non-functional coffee machine in one instance.
- Bar Service & Pool Access: With four pools but only one main bar, queues for drinks were common, requiring guests to carry drinks back to other pool areas. Limited seating by the main bar also made watching evening entertainment challenging.
- Towel Availability & Sun Shades: Mid-week towel changes faced delays due to lack of stock, and some sun shades were broken or difficult to operate.
- Spa Cost: The additional €60 for spa facilities might be a surprise for some guests expecting all-inclusive amenities.
- "Adults-Only" Discrepancy: The presence of loud teenagers was a concern for guests expecting a strictly adult environment.
- Souvenir Suggestion: A unique suggestion was made to sell the pleasant fragrance used in the adjoining family hotel as a souvenir diffuser.
Location & Accessibility 📍
The resort's location is generally considered good, providing convenient access to a bus route for quick trips into the old town. Additionally, there are enough reasonable-quality restaurants, cafes, gyros spots, and car hire options nearby, allowing guests to explore without always resorting to resort dining.
Overall Impression ✅
The Elissa Adults-Only Lifestyle Beach Resort offers a beautiful setting with spacious rooms, diverse dining options, and a stunning beachfront. While the service is largely commended for its friendliness, and the adult-only concept appeals to many, minor inconsistencies in service, facility maintenance, and adherence to the "adults-only" vibe (due to teenagers) suggest there's room for refinement. Despite these minor points, many guests describe their stay as fantastic and unforgettable, eager to recommend it for a luxurious and fun getaway, though some felt it leaned more towards a 3-4 star experience rather than a full 5-star.
A good, clean, and spacious room for two. I liked the beach area near the pool. There are several restaurants on the property. Breakfast is the same every day but decent for the price. The spa is not included in the room price – €60 for two hours of the sauna and hammam. Overall, a good hotel, but not amazing.
An amazing experience! The rooms are spacious, with a private sauna and living room, plus stunning sea and pool views right outside the door. Being adults-only, the resort is peaceful, and it’s full of attractive young guests—definitely easy on the eyes! There are several bars and three restaurants (steakhouse, Japanese, seafood), and with the all-inclusive package, I can eat and drink to my heart’s content. The live music in the evenings adds to the fun—an unforgettable stay!
Beautiful hotel, grounds, and pools, although the pools were so cold. They should use the pools as an air conditioning heat sink. It would cool the rooms more efficiently (about 30% saving), whilst simultaneously making the pool water a more tolerable temperature. The fragrance in the adjoining family hotel was gorgeous. This exact fragrance should be available in the gift shops as a diffuser and refill. It would be the perfect souvenir. I would have bought up the stock, and every time I smelled it at home, it would remind me of the hotel. Win-win. I checked your supplier, Scent:linq. They do offer diffusers as an option, and as I understand it, the fragrance was tailor-made for you, so it would be a truly unique souvenir. The beds were huge and super comfy. The rooms, whilst nicely decorated, had some awkward chairs that didn’t quite fit into their spaces, so they stuck out and took away a large chunk of the room. If they’d just made the bedside cabinets 5cm smaller, it wouldn’t have been an issue.Breakfast was good, although they had every local dessert known to man… besides baklava. The service was hit and miss. Some staff were smiley and friendly, but most, whilst professional, were stern and just a little aloof. Maybe that’s the intention for a lifestyle hotel‽The location was good for us. It was next to a bus route that got into the old town quickly. There were enough reasonable-quality resultants, cafes, gyros, and car hire nearby, so we didn’t have to break the bank if we didn’t want to.
We stayed at this hotel for five amazing days and were welcomed with smiles and kindness right from the start. They offered us a welcome cocktail and explained everything the hotel has to offer. The hotel is beautiful—big, clean, with lots of pools, and very organized. The staff is friendly and always ready to help, making sure everything was perfect. We chose the half-board option and had a small problem with dinner one night, but the staff quickly helped us and found a solution, which we really appreciated. Their willingness to assist made a big difference. The hotel also has a stunning beach right next to it, complete with comfortable beds. The beach was beautiful and a lot of fun, with clear waters and clean sand.Overall, our stay at this hotel was fantastic. The excellent service, beautiful facilities, and great location made our vacation unforgettable. We look forward to coming back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and fun getaway.
The staff were very friendly the food was amazing hotel very clean and tidy. Unfortunately the air conditioning couldn't cope with hot weather and the fridge was empty you had to load your own drinks. The coffee machine didn't work. There were 4 lovely pools but only one bar and service around this pool and as such a big hotel queues to get a drink and take back yourself to other pool areas. We also changed our towels mid week but was told they did not have any until late afternoon. The sun shades were broken and hard toput up we had to find someone to do this. The seating area in the hotel was extremely limited by the bar and no seats for four nights on the trot to watch entertainment . Supposed to be adult only but it is mostly filled with teenagers playing loud music around the pool. We would rate this hotel 3-4 star definitely not 5.
