Flavor Restaurant

Nestled within the TUI Magic Plimmiri resort in South Rhodes, Greece (851 09), Flavor Restaurant aims to offer a premium dining experience. As a notable establishment, it has garnered a range of opinions from recent visitors, showcasing both its strengths and areas for improvement.
Culinary Highlights and Positive Feedback 🌟
Many patrons have lauded Flavor Restaurant for its impressive cuisine and overall quality, often describing it as a highlight of their stay:
- Exceptional Food Quality: Reviewers frequently praise the food as a significant strength. One diner specifically enjoyed the "Egyptian menu", describing it as "great food."
- "Michelin" Aspirations: A strong compliment likened the restaurant's offering to the closest one can get to a "Michelin" experience, suggesting a high standard of culinary artistry and presentation.
- Family-Friendly Environment: The restaurant is noted for being "very accommodating for kids", making it a suitable and welcoming choice for families staying at the resort.
Areas for Improvement and Critical Observations ⏳
Despite the generally positive remarks, one recent review highlighted considerable service issues that significantly impacted the dining experience:
- Significant Waiting Times: A particular concern involved a lengthy delay in service. After being seated and requesting a couple of minutes to review the menu (accessed via QR code), one guest reported waiting a frustrating 25 minutes without being approached to take an order.
- Kitchen Closure and Order Issues: The aforementioned delay unfortunately led to the kitchen closing before the guest could order their desired meal. This resulted in a forced substitute, with mashed potatoes provided instead of the requested roasted vegetables with tuna. This led to a "very disappointing experience."
Overall Verdict ✨
Flavor Restaurant positions itself as a high-end dining option within the TUI Magic Plimmiri resort. When service operates efficiently, guests can expect a culinary journey that some compare to Michelin standards, with diverse and well-received dishes like the Egyptian menu, and a distinctly welcoming atmosphere for families.
However, the significant lapse in service observed by at least one recent visitor indicates that consistency might be an issue. Prospective diners should be aware of the possibility of delays, particularly when the restaurant is busy or nearing closing times. For those seeking premium food and a child-friendly setting, Flavor Restaurant holds strong potential, but improvements in service efficiency could further elevate the overall guest experience to match its culinary ambitions.
This is on the large TUI Magic Plimmiri resort and is supposed to be one of the premium restaurants on site. Welcome was good, sat down and was asked if we wished to order but as you have to download the menu and drinks list via a QR code was not ready so asked for a further 2 minutes. 25 minutes later, still not asked what we would like. But this time the kitchen had closed so could not have what we wanted. I did manage to get some tuna but instead of roasted vegetables was given mashed potatoes. In all a very disappointing experience.
Great food (I had the Egyptian menu) and very accommodating for kids.
This is the closest you can get to "Michelin" and suited us 👌 perfectly.
