Nestled in Marmaris, Türkiye, Grand Yazıcı Club Turban is a popular resort offering a wide array of facilities, from lodging and spa services to diverse dining options and points of interest within its grounds. Recent guest experiences highlight both its strengths as a family-friendly destination and areas where improvements could significantly enhance the stay.

⭐ Overall Impression

Grand Yazıcı Club Turban generally receives positive feedback, particularly for its excellent facilities, prime location, and strong appeal to families. However, consistency in food quality and pool temperature during cooler months are recurring points of concern. It's often described as one of the nicer hotels in Marmaris, offering a comprehensive all-inclusive experience, though some aspects might not meet every guest's expectations.

👍 What Guests Loved

  • Location & Grounds: The hotel boasts a superb location on the edge of Marmaris, providing easy access to the town centre by foot or bus, while being just far enough from the busy bar noise. It backs right onto the National Park, offering access to mountain tracks for hiking. The hotel grounds are consistently praised for being clean and tidy.
  • Private Beach: Guests appreciate the easy access to a clean private beach, making it a great spot for relaxation and water activities.
  • Family-Friendly Amenities: The hotel truly shines for families. The kids' club staff are fantastic 👧👦, and children loved going there, with great day and night activities available.
  • Pools: The resort offers nice pools, though the temperature of the main pool is a notable point of discussion. The selection of pools contributes to the relaxed atmosphere.
  • Staff & Service: While reception service received mixed reviews, many guests found the staff generally friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff were attentive, and cleaning staff often did a great job, providing fresh towels and water (though consistency varied for one reviewer).
  • Room Comfort: Rooms are described as large and tidy. Bathrooms appeared fairly new in some cases, contributing to a comfortable stay.
  • Dining Variety: Even with some a la carte restaurants (like Asian and Steak House) opening later in the season, guests found a good choice of food on the buffet and in other restaurants. The snack bar near the beach was highlighted for its good selection of food that changed daily, catering to various tastes. The baklava often received excellent remarks.
  • Entertainment: The entertainment program was also considered great by visitors.

⚠️ Areas for Improvement & Important Considerations

  • Food Quality: 🍽️ This is the most significant and recurring point of contention. Reviews range from "pretty dire" and "bland slop" to experiences of food causing illness. While some found the food "lovely with plenty of choice," others noted that the quality "varied from average to excellent," with buffet quality being inconsistent. This led some guests to question the value of the all-inclusive package.
  • Pool Temperature: The main pool was frequently described as "painfully cold" during the colder start and end of the season months. There's a strong suggestion for the owners to heat the main pool for kids, as the heated adults-only pool was rarely used and children generally preferred outdoor swimming.
  • Service Inconsistencies: Some guests experienced issues with reception staff whispering and a lack of clarity regarding towel cards on check-in, leading to inconvenience. Inconsistent towel replacement during room cleaning was also reported.
  • Facility Capacity: Concerns were raised that there might not be enough facilities to adequately serve the number of guests, suggesting potential overcrowding during peak summer months.
  • Room Wear: While rooms are large and generally tidy, some areas within the rooms looked "tired," indicating a need for refreshment.
  • Accessibility: The hotel's layout includes "stairs and slopes everywhere," which could pose a challenge for guests not used to walking or those with mobility issues.
  • Seasonal Restaurant Availability: Be aware that some specific a la carte restaurants (like the Asian and Steak House) might not be operational until May.
  • Spa Pool Condition: One reviewer expressed strong dissatisfaction with the condition of the spa pool.

Who Should Visit?

Grand Yazıcı Club Turban is ideally suited for families looking for an all-inclusive resort experience with a strong emphasis on children's activities and direct beach access. Guests who appreciate well-maintained grounds, varied dining options (despite some quality inconsistencies), and a location offering both tranquility and easy access to Marmaris town will enjoy their stay. If you plan to visit during the cooler months (e.g., April, November), be mindful of the main pool temperature and consider if this aligns with your swimming preferences. Those with mobility challenges should also consider the hotel's hilly terrain.

Overall, the hotel offers a solid holiday experience, particularly for families, with room for improvement in specific service and dining areas to elevate it to the next level.

StaffOn arrival we were whispered at by reception, asked the employee to speak up multiple times. Were not given towel cards on check in and didn't need them for the first few days, this suddenly changed on the fourth day and had to trek back from the beach to the reception to get some to trek back, it's annoying! Give the cards out on check in if they're needed.Every time the room was cleaned we were left with less towels than the cleaners took, this isn't difficult stuff.Kids club staff were fantastic and the kids loved going there.Restaurant staff were good at asking if you wanted a drink etc.HotelThe hotel grounds are clean and tidy. The main pool was painfully cold, this could do with some heating in the colder months, the heated adults only pool was rarely ever used so seems a bit daft. There does not seem to be enough facilities for the number of guests staying at the hotel, it must be pretty bad during summer.FoodIt's pretty dire, everything is bland slop with the exception of the baklava which was excellent. We ate at the Turkish restaurant and it was ok, the next day however I spent the day vomiting and staying close to the toilet. We were booked to go to the sister hotel for a couple of weeks in August but have decided to cancel this booking as we were unimpressed with this hotel so don't fancy risking a longer stay if the other hotel is as poor as this one is. The main issue I would say is the poor quality of the food, why bother going all inclusive when you end up not wanting to eat in the hotel anyway.

This is the nicest hotel in Marmaris, this being said the owners need to do something about heating the main pool to above 25’C for kids in the colder start and end of the season months. It’s the heart of the hotel and It’s pointless having an adult pool that’s only heated, adults don’t swim like kids do. *Kids don’t want to swim inside either, the spa pool is 🤮*This being said…what a hotel! The service is unbelievably good, the facilities and location are the best you can find, private beach is superb, kid day and night activities are fantastic, we will be back but only in June-Sep if they don’t heat the main pool.

Fantastic hotel for families. Good kids club . The pools are nice. Easy access to a clean beach. There’s a good choice of food on the buffet and in the restaurants. The food overall was good but the quality did vary from average to excellent. Some days the buffet was not a good as others. The location is good. The rooms are large and tidy. The bathrooms looked like they were fairly new but there were areas of the room that looked tired! On the edge of Marmaris so just out of the noise of all the busy bars but easy enough to access the centre on foot or by bus. The hotel also backs right on to the National park making easy access to the mountain tracks for hiking

Just had a lovely week at Club Turban (April 2025). The hotel site is excellent with a great selection of amenities and eateries though the Asian and Steak House a la carte restaurants don't open till May. This still left plenty of dining choices, the snack bar just before the beach had a good selection of food which changed daily and catered for all the families tastes. The entertainment was also great and the staff were friendly and accommodating. An April visit for us was just right as we wouldn't cope with the temperatures mentioned during the summer.

Stayed here with my family for a week mid November and really enjoyed it. Staff really friendly and helpful. Our rooms were really nice, cleaning staff did a great job leaving plenty of fresh towels every day, plus water. Food was lovely with plenty of choice. Food Court in grounds was fantastic with great food, plus ice cream place next to it. Only thing is it's not good to stay if you're not used to walking, they're stairs and slopes everywhere. This didn't both us, but some people could find this a problem. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay again x
