The Lindos Imperial Resort & Spa, located on Rhodes Island, Greece, presents a varied picture based on recent guest experiences. While some visitors lauded it as an "exceptional" and "fantastic" destination for relaxation and luxury, others encountered significant issues, leading to a "far from a nice experience." This review compiles insights from both ends of the spectrum to provide a comprehensive overview.
The hotel's overall impression is starkly divided. For many, it delivered on comfort, luxury, and convenience, offering "all the amenities one could wish for a relaxing stay" and serving as an "excellent choice for both relaxation and exploring the beautiful area." However, one guest felt compelled to advise to "stay well clear," expressing deep disappointment with the service and quality received relative to the price paid.
The state of the rooms appears inconsistent. Positive feedback described them as "spacious, elegantly decorated, and impeccably clean," providing a "comfortable and relaxing atmosphere" and being "well-designed, and equipped with all modern amenities." Conversely, a less favorable review noted that rooms were "dirty and looking tired." A specific technical issue mentioned was the key card losing its memory "multiple times a day," despite precautions.
Dining also received mixed reviews. Some guests praised the food as "delicious, fresh, and with a variety of options," highlighting an "impressive breakfast buffet" that showcased "local flavors and international cuisine." Yet, criticism included food being "overcooked" and featuring "very few traditional Greek dishes." The booking system for restaurants was also flagged as "badly communicated and managed," leading to missed reservations.
Staff interactions were a significant point of divergence. While guests consistently lauded the staff at the pool bars as "very friendly" and praised the chef and cleaners for their friendliness (though noting "not enough of them"), the experience with other staff members varied greatly.
Across all positive reviews, the spa experience emerged as a universal highlight and a primary reason for guests wishing to return. Specific mention was made of:
While the hotel generally offers "all the amenities one could wish for," a specific concern was raised regarding the safety and cleanliness of the slides area. It was described as "dirty and potentially unsafe due to poor management of the floor matting."
The hotel's location is generally considered a positive aspect. It's described as "ideal, situated close to the sea with stunning views and easy access to the cityâs attractions," making it suitable for both relaxation and exploration.
One guest expressed significant dissatisfaction with the value for money, feeling they had "paid far less and received much better service and quality of food" at other establishments. This perspective suggests that the pricing may not align with the perceived quality for all visitors.
The Lindos Imperial Resort & Spa clearly offers a mixed bag of experiences. Its spa facilities, particularly the services provided by Katerina and Paola, stand out as exceptional and are a consistent highlight for guests seeking relaxation and pampering. The hotel's location is also a definite advantage. However, potential guests should be aware of inconsistencies in other areas, including room cleanliness and condition, food quality and variety, and particularly staff service in certain dining areas. Prospective visitors might find their experience heavily influenced by the specific staff they encounter and the condition of their allocated room. The disparity in reviews suggests that while some guests find it an unparalleled experience, others may leave feeling disappointed, especially concerning the perceived value for their holiday investment.
Stayed at this hotel for a week with my family, everything listed on the website about food is false. The food was TERRIBLE. The only good thing about this hotel is the cleaners and the crepe man!The buffet was the worst Iâve ever seen (none of the food is labelled so if you have allergies be extremely careful), they donât have 6 restaurants open when you actually get there, they have 4 on rotation. This meant my family and I couldnât do the 3 we wanted, however the food in restaurants was just as bad as the food in the buffet. Italian restaurant had one vegetarian dish but contained alcohol and my mum doesnât drink alcohol or eat meat so she was left with no main dish. The Asian restaurant was also TERRIBLE. Lastly we booked the fish restaurant however, we cancelled this and went to Lindos town for the evening instead as we just wanted a decent meal. All three snack bars food was also disgusting. Only nice food there is crepes. If you want an all inclusive hotel that you can actually eat at donât go here!Lastly, the spa is laughable they have a fish spa with no fish, unheated pool, they took us on a tour of the spa and basically just showed us empty building sites, the gym is tiny, no mirrors and two of the three treadmills donât work. Also doesnât open until 10am.Just to add customer relation staff arenât helpful they just shout at you and click there fingers in your face repeating same rubbish:)
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel â everything was clean, well-maintained, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, with great variety and top quality. The location was peaceful and perfect for relaxation. One of the highlights of our stay was the spa treatment. Paola and Lorena gave us an amazing facial â they were both professional, kind, and made the whole experience truly relaxing. We would definitely come back!
â 1-Star ReviewAbsolutely not worth the price â a complete disappointmentWe booked this hotel through Booking.com for a one-night stay, expecting a relaxing experience with a private pool, garden view, and a bathtub in a five-star setting. Unfortunately, what we got was a frustrating, disappointing, and frankly unacceptable stay from start to finish.Upon entering the room at 16:00, we immediately noticed several major issues:There was no bathtub,No garden view,And worst of all, the private pool was dirtyâso dirty we couldnât even step into it.We informed reception by 17:00, and they assured us it would be cleaned âright away.â Trusting them, we went for a drink at the pool bar, only to be served some of the cheapest, worst-tasting drinks weâve ever hadâdefinitely not five-star quality.By 18:30, the pool still hadnât been cleaned. We returned to the reception at 19:00 to request a room change, and were told the only thing they could offer was to clean the poolâwhich they still hadnât done. We even contacted Booking.com, and they were told the cleaning would happen âimmediately.â Spoiler: it didnât.Dinner was just as bad. The buffet food was practically inedible, and drinks at the bar tasted cheap and poorly made. At this point, we hadnât eaten or drunk anything decent all day.We returned to our room at 21:30, only to find cleaning equipment thrown into the pool, but the water still dirty and untouched. Nothing had been cleaned. We went to sleep, and woke up at 7:30 the next morning to men outside our room cleaning the pool, destroying any sense of privacy. For nearly an hour, we had to keep our curtains closed while strangers were right in our yard. The pool was finally âcleanâ at 9:00âtwo hours before checkout. So to recap:No pool useNo garden viewNo bathtubInedible food and drinksNo privacyAnd zero compensationBreakfast was just as terribleâthe orange juice tasted like watered-down artificial syrup. The only reason we booked this hotel was to enjoy the pool and view for a relaxing one-night escape. We couldnât use or enjoy either. Throughout all of this, the staff made no real effort to improve our stay. They refused to offer a refund, even though we couldnât use the facilities we specifically paid for. The only thing they offered was another night at the hotelâwhich we declined, as we wonât be returning to Rhodes anytime soon.Do yourself a favor: save your time, money, and expectations. This hotel does not deliver anything close to a five-star experience.
