Mama Sofia was our favourite restaurant. We did travel during their off peak season and had been unlucky with the weather. However, we stumbled across Mama Sofia and returned 3 times. All the food was delicious and I would highly recommend their focaccia and pizza. The staffs were all extremely friendly and welcoming and made our experience memorable. I would highly recommend you to give Mama Sofia at least a try once. You will not be disappointed. I’m missing you already Mama Sofia!

I’ll definitely take a moment to talk about this place because it holds a special place in my heart. It’s probably my favorite restaurant memory from the Old Town of Rhodes. Mama Sofia is a place where you truly feel like you’re having dinner with a Greek family. The gyros was delicious and the portions were… HUGE! There are also plenty of vegetarian options available. The drinks were really tasty too. And the gem of this place is Mr. Alex, who invited us in—such an incredibly positive and smiling person. I have to say, it’s been a long time since I felt so good in any place. I highly, highly recommend it :) If I ever return to Rhodes, my first meal will definitely be there!

The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcomed and at home. They really tried to give us the best table available and they were attentive to our every needs. The atmosphere was great, with a nice view of the church in front of the restaurant. The food was wonderful, we had the greek mixed platter and we definitely recommend the Stifado Beef, the moussaka and the meatballs.

A family restaurant with a long tradition. Very nice owners who welcomed us like family. They introduced themselves and told us the history of their restaurant. This was the first pleasant surprise. We ordered lunch which was beautifully served. The portions were large and the food delicious. The drinks too. It was a feast for the body and soul. I recommend this place to anyone who will visit Rhodes. A must be there 😍
