Ok Mobility Rental Rhodes

Located at Leof. Dimokratias 134, Paradisi 851 06, Greece, OK Mobility Rental Rhodes operates as a car rental establishment. Based on recent customer feedback, the overwhelming sentiment is one of extreme dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from allegations of fraudulent practices and poor service. The average rating from the provided reviews is significantly low, heavily weighted by numerous one-star experiences.
Key Issues Reported by Customers ⚠️
A consistent pattern of serious concerns emerges from the customer reviews, indicating potential predatory practices:
- Allegations of Scamming and Fraudulent Charges:
Several customers reported being charged for damages that they claim were either pre-existing, fabricated, or deliberately inflicted by the rental company staff upon return. One alarming account describes an employee allegedly keying a car's bumper during the return process and then charging the customer hundreds of euros. Another customer mentioned "weird scratches" appearing overnight, leading to a €620 charge, with a strong suspicion of a widespread scam affecting multiple renters without extra insurance.
Customers also reported issues with faked mileage readings at both collection and return, and being bullied into signing papers without being allowed to record existing bodywork defects.
- Poor Vehicle Condition:
The cars provided by OK Mobility are frequently described as being in "terrible condition," "old," "high mileage," and "battered." Concerns were raised about the vehicles' safety, with one review explicitly stating that "every panel and roof [was] damaged." In some cases, customers did not receive the car size or type they had paid for, instead getting a much smaller or unsuitable vehicle.
- Subpar Customer Service and Hidden Fees:
Numerous reports detail issues with airport transfers, including being left waiting in the hot sun with a baby for half an hour or more, with no clear signs or instructions. Upon arrival at the rental office, customers faced demands for additional insurance payments or large credit card deposits. Some customers reported their credit cards not being accepted for deposits, forcing them to pay substantial additional fees to avoid losing their initial booking payment. Charges of an "unfriendly lady" and "unannounced bills" were also mentioned.
Isolated Positive Experiences 👍
Amidst the predominantly negative feedback, one positive review stands out. This customer reported a smooth rental experience, receiving an upgrade from a Peugeot to a Fiat 500 cabriolet. They found the staff "nice" and confirmed that their €1000 credit card hold for damages was released in full without issue, as they fortunately had no incidents during their rental period.
Important Considerations and Advice 🤔
Given the severe and consistent nature of the negative reviews, particularly regarding alleged scams and fraudulent charges, potential renters should exercise extreme caution. If considering OK Mobility Rental Rhodes (or its associated entity, Monza Rent a Car), it is highly advisable to:
- Document Everything: Meticulously photograph and video record every inch of the vehicle, inside and out, at both pick-up and drop-off, noting any existing damage, no matter how small. Ensure these recordings are time-stamped.
- Review Papers Carefully: Read all documentation thoroughly before signing, and refuse to be rushed or bullied.
- Consider Alternative Companies: Based on these reviews, it might be safer to opt for more reputable and well-established car rental companies to avoid potential distress and unexpected costs during your holiday in Rhodes.
Shared with Monza Rent a Car this has to be the worst car rental I’ve ever used. The cars are in terrible condition, old, high mileage and I doubt are safe to drive. We were bullied into signing papers (which we should not have done) and not allowed to record defects to the body work or wheels. They even faked the mileage readings when we collected and returned the car. A couple of pics illustrate the car, with every panel and roof being damaged.Never again!
We ordered a peugeot and got an upgrade of a fiat 500 cabriolet. The rental went smoothly and all the staff was nice.As described on Ryanair they locked 1000 euro on my credit card to cover eventually for damages. Luckly we had no crashes and they realese the full amount.
I’m not sure why this place is rated lower than others. It was noticeably more affordable than other places. We arrived by airplane, got shuttled immmediatelu to the place 2 minutes away and got a great car. Dropped the car off, no issues, shuttled back to airport. Would book again.
DO NOT RENT FROM OK MOBILITY. After a week with the car and not a scratch or dent, when we returned the car, a member of OK Mobility actually KEYED the front bumper making a huge, deep ‘scratch’ on the paintwork which we got charged hundreds for. They will tell you it’s a scratch that happened under your watch, but it’s obviously a key that did it (I had just handed him the key and was taking pushchair out of the boot while holding baby so looking elsewhere while he walked around the car). There was even the stripped off paint hanging off where it was done (which would have flown off in the wind if it had happened earlier). These people are CROOKS and scammers. DO NOT RISK IT!!They also didn’t pick us up from the airport at the scheduled time and we had to call them after waiting half an hour in hot sun with baby - but that pales in comparison to what they did at the end.
DON'T RENT A CAR SCAM SCAM SCAMWith 4 couples (we found this out at the airport) we got scammed in the same way.Monza/OK mobility know in what hotel we stay. We took no extra insurance. The last night weird scratches appeared on the car, damage €620.The unfriendly lady saw inmediately where the car had damage. While waiting for our flight home we heard a couple tell the same story.Took me over an hour to ask everyone on the flight. Those 4 who rented with no extra insurance had strange scratches which appeared in the last night.
