Reviews highlight a mix of excellent features and a significant concern regarding guest health.

Accommodations & Amenities ✨

  • Rooms: Guests have a variety of room types to choose from. Deluxe rooms, such as room 753, are often praised for being great, spacious, and offering partial sea views, providing a lovely start to the day.
  • Beach Access: The hotel boasts a very nice beach, easily accessible for guests.

    5. Dining Options: The hotel offers all-inclusive, half board, and B&B packages. All-inclusive guests are entitled to one meal at the a la carte restaurant, though it's important to note it's not open daily and requires a 24-hour advance booking at the front desk.

Culinary Experience 🍽️

The food at Pegasos Deluxe Beach Hotel receives high praise for being plentiful, varied, and very good. Guests can enjoy freshly cooked options such as:

  • Asian food
  • Pizzas from a pizza oven
  • Gyros and Greek kebabs
  • Crepes

Even self-proclaimed fussy eaters have found the diverse offerings satisfactory, indicating a broad appeal in the culinary department. While most food is self-service, better quality wine is available for an additional price.

Exceptional Staff & Entertainment 🌟

A consistent highlight across multiple reviews is the hotel's staff. They are described as very friendly, hard-working, and eager to please. The receptionist, Andreas, is particularly noted for his superb politeness and willingness to assist, including room upgrades. The animation and entertainment team (Gustavo, Alex, Evelina, and others) are highly commended for their enthusiasm, making holidays enjoyable, keeping guests engaged with games, and ensuring no one is bored. Their day off is Saturday.

Location & Accessibility 🚶‍♀️🚌 boat

The hotel's location offers convenient access to nearby attractions:

  1. Faliraki: An easy walk from the hotel.
  2. Rhodes Town: A regular and frequent bus service operates between Faliraki and Rhodes, with bus stops directly in front of the hotel.
  3. Boat Taxi: For a unique journey to Rhodes, a boat taxi is available from the beach between Pegasos and Calypso hotels (approximately €15 adult return). Booking is advisable.
  4. Tourist Train: A tourist 'train' with various destinations can be caught about a 10-minute walk up the road by the Epsilon hotel.

Cleanliness 🧼

The hotel's cleanliness stands out, described as "100% 10/10" and "absolutely immaculate," which is noted as a difficult standard to find and a significant positive for guests.

Major Health Concern ⚠️

Despite numerous positive aspects, a significant and concerning issue frequently mentioned by guests is the prevalence of gastrointestinal problems, described as a "stomach bug" or "food poisoning." Several guests reported falling severely ill with symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, and body aches, sometimes requiring days of recovery. One particularly severe case involved continuous illness for days after returning home. While hotel reception reportedly attributed it to a "bug travelling around the island," a staff member allegedly admitted the problem was localized to this hotel and the adjacent one. This health concern has led some guests to express a strong reluctance to return, emphasizing that health is paramount and outweighs otherwise positive impressions.

Overall Impression

The Pegasos Deluxe Beach Hotel largely offers an amazing experience, characterized by its beautiful beach, great rooms, varied and delicious food, immaculate cleanliness, and an exceptional team of staff and entertainers. Many guests initially express a desire to return with family, highlighting the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. However, the recurring and severe reports of widespread gastrointestinal illness present a serious health and safety concern that profoundly impacted some guests' overall holiday experience and future intentions.

TRANSLATED BY GOOGLE TRANSLATE. My rating would look completely different. I liked absolutely everything. The beach is very nice. Accommodation on the seventh floor in room 753 with a partial view of the sea - Deluxe room, also great. The food was also great until the last dinner BUT !!!!!Unfortunately, the information about intestinal problems that I read in several reviews turned out to be true. I only ate at this hotel. Two days. I left the hotel on Wednesday after breakfast. I already had problems on the plane trip to Vienna. But the worst came after returning home - Wednesday evening. I spent practically the whole night on the toilet. Diarrhea pills didn't help at all.... I've probably never experienced something like this before and I hope I never will again!First impression - the hotel is amazing, the Deluxe room is amazing, the drinks at the bar are also great. First impression - I will take my whole family here on vacation next year - 6 people. The impression after returning home and crazy health problems - never again !!! It's a terrible shame .... But we only have one health .... You should really be ashamed !!CRAZY HEALTH PROBLEMS UPON RETURN RUINED EVERYTHING. I REALLY ONLY ATE FOOD AT THE HOTEL AND DRINK ONLY AT YOUR HOUSE!

Very friendly, hard working and eager to please staff. There are a variety of rooms to choose from. Food is plentiful and varied but self service as are the drinks. Better quality wine is available for a price. All inclusive guests are entitled to 1 meal at the a la carte restaurant but it's not open every day and you need to book at the front desk at least 24 hours before. It's easy enough to walk to Faliraki but there's a regular and frequent bus service between Faliraki and Rhodes with bus stops right in front of the hotel. If you're going to Rhodes for the day look into the boat taxi €15 adult return (the taxi stand is down on the beach between the Pegasos and Calypso hotels. Booking is most advisable). The hotel offers all inclusive, half board and B&B. The entertainments team are very friendly and enthusiastic. Saturday is their day off. Car hire is available on site. There's a small jewellers and tourist shop on site. Spa treatment is available (book in the morning by the dining room). The pool bar opens 10.00 until 18.00 and the main bar from 17.00 to 23.30 (all inclusive). There's a tourist 'train' that has a number of destinations (dependant on day) that you can catch from up the road by the Epsilon hotel (10 min, if that, walk).I thoroughly enjoyed my fortnight stay at the Pegasos. It was very comfortable and relaxing and I would certainly return should the opportunity arise.

This hotel is probably the best hotel I have ever visited first of all cleanliness is 100% 10/10 absolutely immaculate which is hard to find . The food is extremely good they have freshly made pzzas on a pizza oven amazing gyros Greek kebabs really nice and much more I am a fussy eater but not on this holiday for a change I have not worried about eating out all the time. The receptionist andreas is superb polite and will bend over backwards to make you feel at home even upgraded our room in less than 1 hour at a cost of course just because we wanted a bigger one no other reason. And the entertainment staff gustavo, Alex, evelina are absolutely fantastic they make you really enjoy your holiday and make sure 100% you are not bored there is a lot more good things I could say about this hotel but I'll leave it at that and see for yourselves.

First few days were lovely, staff are really nice, especially the reps, getting everyone involved with the games and entertainment which is a nice way for people to get to know each other and start talking.Drinks were nice, Andreas at the main bar was looking after us at night making me some special long island iced teas.Rooms were OK, nothing special but spacious enough for 2 maybe 3 people. We were over looking the beach so that was lovely to wake up to, it was such a view !Then the 4th day come and the dreaded stomach bug / food poisoning came.... I woke up my body was aching, I was vomiting and had the runs, stayed in bed for 2 days and then my poor daughter also fell ill aswell... When I managed to go to reception on day 6 they said it was a bug travelling around the island?? I wasn't sure about that story because so many people were talking about getting the same thing in this hotel so I went and spoke to the rep who admitted it was just this Hotel and the hotel next doors that was having problem. So all in all, could be a lovely hotel, but based on what I think is a major health and safety concern going on here would not be coming back!
