Perched on the beautiful island of Rhodes, Greece, Rock Field (located at 6R2M MH, Attavyros 851 08) presents itself as a unique point of interest and a budding tourist attraction. This establishment offers visitors a chance to experience tranquility and capture stunning panoramic views, though its accessibility and nature might shape your visit.

What to Expect: Views and Photography 📸

Rock Field is primarily lauded for its picturesque setting and the opportunities it provides for photography. Many visitors have found it to be a "nice, quiet spot" where "fun and beautiful photos" can be captured. The landscape is particularly appealing during specific times, with one reviewer highlighting its potential as a prime location to "see the sunset." The views from this elevated position are generally considered "quite good," offering a rewarding vista of the surrounding area.

Navigating to Rock Field: A Challenging Journey 🚗

One of the most significant points raised by visitors concerns the journey to Rock Field. The path leading to the site is described as a "very difficult" gravel road with a "steep climb." For this reason, it is strongly advised that the route is "actually only manageable with an SUV" or a similar vehicle with good clearance and traction. Drivers who are not "completely safe while driving" might find the ascent particularly challenging and are cautioned against it. Furthermore, the final approach to the field itself is not accessible by car, requiring a walk through a path characterized by "prickly bushes."

Is it Worth a Dedicated Trip? 🤔

While the views are appreciated, some reviewers suggest that Rock Field might not warrant a "specific trip" on its own. Instead, it is frequently recommended as a "worth a stop on the way to the temple or observatory", indicating its suitability as a complementary attraction rather than a primary destination. The actual "field itself is quite small," which contributes to the perception that it's more of a scenic viewpoint than a vast area to explore. For those seeking expansive panoramas without the challenging drive, it's noted that "many other beautiful mountains with great panoramas" exist elsewhere on the island.

Overall Impression: A Mixed Bag with Rewarding Views

Reviews for Rock Field are mixed, averaging around 3.5 out of 5 stars. It stands as a testament to the natural beauty of Rhodes, offering serene moments and photographic opportunities for those willing to brave the journey. Its appeal lies in its quiet charm and the visual rewards it offers, particularly at sunset, making it a memorable, albeit potentially challenging, stop on your Rhodes adventure.

Nice, quiet spot. Would be great to see the sunset. Probably wouldn't recommend a specific trip but worth a stop on the way to the temple or observatory.

The journey by car is very difficult. Gravel road with a steep climb. Actually only manageable with an SUV. The field itself is quite small and the path there (not accessible by car) is characterized by prickly bushes. The view is still quite good, hence 2/5 stars. But I advise against anyone who is not completely safe while driving. There are also many other beautiful mountains with great panoramas.
