Nestled in the picturesque Kiotari region of Rhodes Island, Greece, the Rodos Princess Beach Resort & Spa emerges as a highly recommended destination for travelers seeking a memorable holiday experience. This hotel and resort establishment boasts a strong reputation, primarily built on its exceptional service, diverse culinary offerings, and well-maintained facilities.
Guests consistently praise several aspects of the resort, making it a top choice for various types of travelers:
The resortโs staff stands out as a major highlight. Reviewers frequently describe the team as brilliant, friendly, attentive, kind, helpful, and sweet. Specific mentions include the welcoming receptionist Samuel, diligent cleaning ladies, friendly pool bar server Despina, and the engaging water sports instructor Harris, who ensures clients' enjoyment. The staffโs proactive approach to dietary requests, ensuring fresh food delivery, is particularly appreciated by guests with special needs.
Food quality receives high marks across the board. The buffet restaurant offers very good food with plenty of flavor and variety. The Diogenis BBQ restaurant on the beach is even better, and the poolside restaurant is noted for its lovely food and atmosphere, making it definitely worth booking for a special evening. With four restaurants in total, guests report excellent variety in food and drinks, catering to diverse palates.
Rooms at Rodos Princess are described as amazing, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Many feature amazing views and good sizes, with some family suites boasting incredibly large balconies (up to 12 meters long) complete with sunbeds, tables, and chairs. Thoughtful touches like fridges restocked with beverages every other day, quality bathing essentials, slippers, and welcome/goodbye gifts enhance the guest experience. Guests also highlight the tranquility, allowing for very good sleep.
The hotel itself is lauded for its beauty, featuring a huge area, nice garden, and amazing sea views. Guests can enjoy two beautiful swimming pools, multiple bars, and a private beach directly accessible from the resort. The beach, characterized by tiny stones (shingle) and crystal-clear sea, is well-equipped with sunbeds, a bar, and an additional restaurant. A large spa is available for massages and relaxation.
Beyond relaxation, the resort offers various activities. Water sports are readily available at the beach, with positive feedback on the pricing and management. Guests can also arrange boat tours. The animation staff is described as cheerful, nice, and motivated, putting on good shows. Photo shootings are also organized during the week, with friendly photographers adding to the holiday memories.
While overwhelmingly positive, some reviews offer constructive feedback and considerations for future guests:
One notable concern is the poor access to the beach for physically disabled persons, which is an important point for travelers with mobility challenges. Additionally, the resort's location is described as being quite far from the airport and lacking external amenities or attractions immediately outside the complex, meaning a taxi or car rental (easily arranged via the hotel lobby) is necessary for exploring beyond the resort.
Although sunbeds are generally available, they tend to be taken by 9 am, indicating a need for early rising for prime spots, though other pool areas and grass sections offer alternatives. A specific incident involved cleaning staff accidentally disposing of an important item without apology or attempt to retrieve it, suggesting a potential area for improvement in handling such situations. Lastly, a suggestion for enhancement was improved cleanliness around the pool area during the day and better extraction systems in late-departure shower rooms.
In conclusion, the Rodos Princess Beach Resort & Spa offers a highly recommended, all-inclusive holiday experience on Rhodes Island. Its dedication to guest satisfaction through attentive staff, diverse and delicious food, comfortable accommodations, and a wide array of facilities makes it an ideal choice for families, couples, and friends seeking a relaxing and enjoyable getaway, with just a few minor points for consideration regarding accessibility and its secluded location.
We are stopping at the Princess Sun Hotel & Spa but have the use of the Princess Sun Beach area (inc. free shuttle bus there and back). We can use the snack bar (drink and food). The hotel there charges as if we are external guests but (I'm told) with a 50% discount as a "H" guest at the Princess Sun Hotel & Spa.The beds have brollies and showers facilities are available (toilets etc). I cannot comment on the hotel itself as I only walked through :)
The hotel is perfect, itโs my second visit there. Even when the weather wasnโt great (thunderstorms and rain), you had what to do in the hotel, the entertainment staff held games in the bar and different activities all day.The one minus is that the indoor pool and hot tub, are not heated. So when you are there not in season, all the pools are cold, freezing cold.
Lovely hotel & grounds. Family room with an amazing view was a good-size and within a great location of the hotel. It was probably one of the best rooms we've ever had - we travel often to mainly 5* hotels. We had a dietary request where staff ensured said food was served fresh & directly to us despite which restaurant we were dining at. Very much appreciated.Sunbed wars weren't bad. We could always find one for our large family party.Atmosphere in/around the hotel = good vibe.Star removed as access to the beach for a physically disabled person very poor. The location wasn't the best being too far from the airport and not having anything outside the complex.Cleaning staff accidentally disposed of a very important/expensive item from our room. Accidents do happen but what grated was there was no apology. No action taken at all to try & retrieve it despite there being a small timeframe of when it was taken.
We have had an amazing 2 weeks at the hotel. Staff are friendly, the food is fresh, varied and tasty and the grounds/views are stunning. The surrounding area is a little quiet but that wasn't a problem for us.We stayed in a nice family room with sea views and can't complain about anything. The beds are so comfy ๐๐ปThe hotel is spotless too! The cleanliness is of a high standard and the cleaners are always on the go.Highly recommend and we will 100% be back in the future.
Fabulous holiday, our second this year. Brilliant, friendly and attentive staff. Food very good in buffet restaurant and even better down at Diogenis BBQ restaurant on the beach. Definitely worth booking to go to the poolside restaurant for one of your nights as well, lovely food and atmosphere. Quiet on a night which suited us but if you're looking for a lively time it probably won't suit unless you get a taxi. Overall would definitely recommend. We will definitely return.
