We were during Easter time. The place was not very busy, but there were a lot of staff. The waitress suggested food and drinks. We were very happy with the food: portions were big (Greek salad was the size of a main dish), food was fresh and tasty, a lot of salad shrimps.
One of the best beaches for swimming on Rhodes, very quiet, there are nice pools of shallow water and then a stairs entrance to the sea. Sunbeds are 7€ per person. Food in the taverna was excellent as well.
The food was amazing! We came twice because it was extremely nice. The beach is lovely, 7€ per person for the sunbed and umbrella. The first time we took just a Greek salad, pita and tzatziki, while the second, fried calamari and grilled octopus. Everything delicious! The only “issue” is that the stuff is rather disorganised and it takes sometimes until you order and so. But I can totally understand with the amount of people they have to deal with.Overall you are on holiday, so no need to stress over those things ;)
The chargrilled aubergine served with greek yoghurt and skoradalia (garlic/oil mix) is genuinely worth coming back for. I did. Three times. You won’t understand until you actually have it. Their shrimp is of the giant variety - and excellently grilled. Not overcooked. And I would recommend anyone into authentic food to order the ‘boiled greens’. Served with olive oil and lemon. Grandma style. And very, very good. I have not yet eaten the whole menu, but I can say everything I had I would order again (sardines, king prawns, grilled aubergine/eggplant, boiled greens, tomato salad, and a good quality pita).Tasos is unpretentious and the focus is on simple and good food, cooked with care.
Absolute highlight of the trip, wonderfully friendly staff who we had a laugh with and took care of us.Food was absolutely phenomenal, and everything at the right price. Thanks so much for looking after us (and teaching us about Fouska)!
