Located in Marmaris/Muğla, Türkiye, despite occasional confusion with other regions, Çubucak Forest Camp serves as a popular destination for campers, offering a unique blend of nature and essential amenities. Classified as a campground, lodging, park, and point of interest, it aims to provide a comprehensive outdoor experience.

Overall Impression

Based on recent guest feedback, Çubucak Forest Camp holds an average rating of 4.0 out of 5 stars. Reviews indicate a largely positive experience for many, especially those seeking extended stays in a natural setting, but highlight some significant areas where the camp falls short, particularly regarding staff interaction and facility maintenance.

Highlights of Çubucak Forest Camp ✨

  • Spacious & Well-Maintained: Guests frequently commend the camp for being "spacious, clean and tidy," indicating a well-managed environment.
  • Good Amenities & Facilities: The campsite is equipped with useful features. Electricity is included in the nightly price, and small refrigerators are available for daily rental. Visitors are also permitted to use pedestal barbecues, enhancing the camping experience.
  • Convenient On-site Market: There's a "good market at the campsite" that provides nearly everything a camper might need, with the exception of alcohol.
  • Excellent Location & Base for Excursions: Described as a "huge complex," it's considered excellent for long stays and a "good base for further excursions" due to its proximity to the city and a river.
  • Clean Sea & Natural Beauty: The camp offers a pleasant interface with nature. The sea is consistently noted as "very clean," with the stony beach transitioning to sand after about five meters into the water. The overall setting provides "the best mix of nature and civilization."
  • Ideal for Longer Stays: Several guests found the camp perfectly suited for extended visits, with one guest happily spending 10 "sensational" days there.

Areas for Improvement ⚠️

  • Cleanliness of Shared Facilities: A key point of contention is the cleanliness of the washrooms. Reviewers suggest that the "toilets and shower area could be cleaned more carefully." Furthermore, rented equipment, such as fridges, have been reported as dirty with broken shelves.
  • Staff Attitude & Customer Service: A notable negative experience involved unwelcoming and unhelpful staff, particularly at the reception. One guest described the atmosphere created by the gate staff as feeling like a "prison patrol," leading to a highly unpleasant check-in and overall stay.
  • Parking Area Conditions: At least one account mentions the designated parking area for some guests was found to be littered and "not very pleasant."

Final Thoughts 📌

Çubucak Forest Camp presents a compelling option for those looking to immerse themselves in nature with the convenience of essential amenities, especially for longer camping trips. Its spacious layout, included electricity, on-site market, and clean sea are significant draws.

However, prospective visitors should be aware of the inconsistencies in facility cleanliness and, more critically, the potential for a less-than-welcoming experience with certain staff members. For self-sufficient campers who prioritize the natural environment and location above all else, and are prepared for potential minor inconveniences in service, Çubucak Forest Camp could still offer a rewarding escape.

Nothing to complain, huge complex, good for long stay. Very close to city and river. Good base for further excursions.

In Çubucak camping, we stayed in our own tent for 6 nights. Overall we were very satisfied. The campground is spacious, clean and tidy. It is well managed by the staff. Electricity is included in the night price and small refrigerators can be rented for a daily fee. It is allowed to use a pedestal barbecue. There is a good market at the campsite. Everything is available, except alcohol. The beach area is narrow and stony, but when you enter the sea, it becomes sand after 5 meters. The sea is very clean. Two minor negatives are the toilets and shower area could be cleaned more carefully and the fridge we rented had 2 broken shelves and was not clean.

Arrived here and asked to stop for 1 or 2 nights and was made to feel like I had ask them for a kidney each! But after some mumbling between themselves they decided to let me in but only if I stayed in the carpark! But after a long and tiring days driving I agreed, only after being instructed off course of how to park my vehicle correctly even though I'd driven approx 5000 km to get here! But anyway the place where we were parked was littered and not very pleasant, in the morning once again the atmosphere was bleak, the men at the gate make you feel like they're on prison patrol particularly the bearded man behind the left side reception desk, having stood waiting for 20 minutes he finally removed my passport from a desk drawer and gave it to another man to give back to me, I can honestly say I wouldn't come back and stay here if they were to pay me!
