I would like to recommend this place, but at the same time I don't want to recommend this place. We had such a calm, quiet, perfect and lovely Sunday lunch at this restaurant. It would be a shame if suddenly too many people would find this hidden gem. But I also want to share how honest and good and simple (in the best of ways) our food was. How friendly they were. How peaceful this place was. How much we enjoyed our lunch and the surroundings. Go there! Tell your closest friends. Just don't tell too many people.(Best thing: we ordered "fried vegetables" and the owner said: 'no, take the aubergine salad'! 😁 Best thing that happened, because that aubergine/eggplant was a-ma-zing!)

Excellent food, great location with breathless view, and the shade of the big tree was a natural air condition! Local traditional cuisine!

Wow, definitely worth the drive in to the mountains! Traditional Greek food at a top level. We had meatballs, chorta, beetroot, lamb chops, Rhodian Pitas, fresh fries, mynzithra cheese and a omelet with sausage. Everything fresh, tasty and prepared in the right way. Add a nice view and super service.... Would love to give more stars! (this place has been rewarded multiple prizes for the traditional kitchen) Must eat here if you visit Rhodos!

Great family moments at traditional tavern at Appolakia village. Rhodian traditional tastes. Great gastronomy!

Like the previous reviews said - real little gem. We had a very nice lunch and I recommend the yummy starters on offer. Worth the detour from the main roads and the beaches.
