Key Highlights of Your Stay
Exceptional Staff & Service 🌟
The hotel's greatest asset, according to numerous guests, is its dedicated and friendly staff. From the moment of arrival, receptionists are noted for their swift and pleasant check-ins. Cleaners, such as the highly praised Mrs. Elena, maintain rooms to an impeccable standard daily, always greeting guests with a smile. The main restaurant staff are efficient in clearing tables and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Bartenders, especially Clement at the main bar, receive special commendation for their fantastic drink-making skills and engaging personalities, creating a lively atmosphere. The overall sentiment is that every member of staff contributes significantly to a memorable and enjoyable stay.
Culinary Delights 🍽️
Dining at Atlantica Kolymbia Beach is a highlight for many. While breakfast offers consistent options, its variety ensures it doesn't become monotonous. Lunch and dinner buffets are particularly lauded for their diversity, with different themes each night, including Greek and Italian specialties, and an abundance of fresh fish and seafood. A standout feature is the dedicated station where chefs prepare fresh pizza and pasta from scratch daily. The snack bar by the pool provides convenient hot and cold snacks and drinks throughout the day. Guests also appreciate the opportunity to experience the à la carte restaurant once per stay, which offers an elevated dining experience with 11/10 service.
Comfortable Accommodation & Facilities 🛌🏖️
Rooms at the hotel are described as spacious, clean, and equipped with effective air conditioning. Many boast lush balconies with stunning sea views. The hotel's infrastructure is "breathtaking," featuring extensive green spaces and gardens that create a sense of openness and tranquility. The hotel is situated "right next to the beach," offering crystal clear waters, though it is a pebble beach where sunbeds are an extra charge. Guests can, however, utilize the free sunbeds by the pool. While some note the pool is "rather small" compared to neighboring hotels, its proximity to the stunning beach compensates for this. Evening entertainment is consistently of a "high standard," with performers engaging guests and fostering a fun atmosphere.
Convenient Location & Activities 🚶♀️🛵
The hotel's location in Kolympia is considered good. A pleasant 10-15 minute walk leads to the main strip, offering a variety of shops, bars, and restaurants. For those seeking further exploration, car and moped rentals are conveniently available directly from the hotel. The beach by the hotel also provides various water sports, including jet skiing and banana boats, at reasonable prices.
Minor Points & Considerations
- The hotel is reportedly joining the Marriott chain, which may bring future changes.
- A minor complaint regarding the beach bar was the use of small, disposable cardboard cups for beer, which some found wasteful and not eco-friendly.
- One isolated review mentioned a rude individual at the snack bar, though this appears to be an exception to the overwhelmingly positive staff feedback.
- A few guests noted that some buffet food occasionally lacked seasoning.
- There was a minor issue with guests not being fully informed about booking their complimentary à la carte dining slot upon check-in. It's advisable to inquire about this upon arrival.
- One review mentioned a non-working lift in their block, which could be an inconvenience for some.
- While the walk to the main strip is manageable for most, those with mobility issues might find it a bit far.
Final Verdict
Atlantica Kolymbia Beach comes highly recommended for those seeking a relaxing and enjoyable holiday experience in Rhodes. Its unwavering commitment to excellent service, diverse and delicious food options, clean and comfortable accommodations, and prime beachfront location make it a standout choice. Despite a few minor points, the overwhelmingly positive guest experiences underscore its quality and the likelihood of many returning visitors.
A little late for review. Stayed here the first week in May 2024. We wish we had booked longer than the 7 days we were there. Thank you to all the staff who worked so hard to provide a great experience. The food was one of the best we have had in a lot of all inclusive 4 and 5 star hotels especially the lunch and dinner. The freshly cooked pizza, grilled meat & fish were almost addictive. The pool area is a little small but certainly not over crowded. The views were stunning. We booked a beach front room we were so glad as we were able to keep the windows open at night listening to the sea and then waking up to a beautiful sun rise.We had a couple of great evenings entrainment in the outside bar area with people singing and dancing away. This is only the second hotel we have booked to return to after retuning home, Unfortunately we have had our booking changed to another Atlantica hotel in the same resort. Because Kolymbia beach hotel has either been sold or is undergoing a refit. We have been unable to find out why. I only hope that we are able to have a similarly good holiday this year. And that Kolymbia beach opens again.
Lovely hotel. Great staff. Spacious grounds. There was very little that we could fault with this hotel. Evening entertainment was of a very high standard. Food was good and varied. Possibly the only complaint I could make was that beer served at the beach bar was in small cardboard cups which were always replaced for the next round, a bit wasteful and not very eco. But this is a small issue compared to the excellent holiday we had at this hotel. We understand that this hotel is joining the Marriott chain, so things may change, but we would certainly consider another holiday with the Atlantica hotel group.
The positives first, great beach and Sea View massive balcony could easily fit some sun beds however just standard table and chairs. TV limited selection of channels and no English. The negatives, the shower pressure is low, and internet is virtually non existent did mention to reception with no real action taken except to say that it was working which you could get but it was too slow for even a YouTube short.
( this opinion is based on two young adults 23yrs old, so more younger people join us next year 😅)First holiday in Greece, visited 30.08-9.09 and all I can say is, it was amazing! Truly the greatest service I have ever received. Starting with the things people complain the most- breakfast. Yes, it’s the same everyday but there’s so many options you can choose from that I don’t know how it could get boring. But the lunches and dinners- heads down. Every day something different, so even I, as a picky eater have had so many delicious meals 🤤 they do theme night for dinners, so it was all sort, Greek night, Italian night and lots and lots of fishes and other seafood. Also, everyday for lunch & breakfast there’s a separate station where two fantastic guys make Pizza from the scratch and pasta ( which also changes everyday). It was amazing, I had those two everyday as well as for both meals. Also during dinner time all the waitresses get you something to drink, and it’s much more fancier ( in a good way) than you can think. But if dinners get boring to you- don’t worry because you have a free access to the ala carte restaurant, once per your stay. It was delicious- something you won’t have from the buffet and the service was 11/10! Also during the day we could access snack bar next to the pool where you could get some hot&cold snacks as well as all of the drinks. But as we talking about the drinks, let’s get to the main bar. The two guys working there are fantastic (really work well together), but the big applause goes to the bartender Clement ( the older one). Made the best drinks, had so much fun behind the bar that the waiting was much nicer and he is such a great person. We gladly had some time to talk with him and If he doesn’t work there next year, we’re not coming back 😂 But it would be better if there was another bar open during the evening hours so the lines won’t get that long during shows. About the Room- we had a beach front double room and man, the views from our balcony.. wish we could stay longer. The hotel itself was RIGHT next to the beach, unfortunately you have to pay for the sunbeds there but you could always use the free ones by the pool:) The infrastructure of the hotel was breathtaking. So much green space, so much freedom and it feels like the hotel never ends because of the garden. So pretty! The hotel also hired so many good performers that even me & my partner danced and had so much fun. The rooms are also cleaned everyday by the nicest ladies ever. I will also mention for my Polish people that there’s a Polish girl working at the hotel and she’s also super nice and helpful ❤️ Also, at the hotel ( next to the reception) are two guys that you can rent a car from, and you can even get it the next day directly from the hotel so that was great for us. overall, all of the staff made our stay so memorable and fantastic, that it was so sad to leave that place today.. we will be definitely coming back next year!
We highly recommend the Colymbia Beach Hotel. Everyone was nice - from the cleaners - especially Mrs. Elena, through the cook to the receptionist. The hotel is clean, nice, the beach is close, the sea is clean. The food there is amazing. The best was the pizza, straight from the Italian chef.Alena and family - from Czech republic.
