Really lovely place, lots of sunbeds and no scrambling to get one. The entertainment was good fun and everyone got into the spirit of things. Maria the manager was really friendly and accommodating and talked us through everything. There were lots of food options for people with dietary requirements like myself and everything is very clearly marked. Great stay. Would absolutely come back again.
Really nice place. There was a mistake on our booking, we wanted a room with a pool but they overbooked them. They gave us a better room with a sea view instead, so that was good.Plenty of sun beds available on the beach and by the pool, we went in October so it was not too busy but not too quiet either, plenty of other guests around.Quick walk to the shops close by, plenty of bars and restaurants, all good value. The food in the hotel is excellent though, so is the service. The selection at all times is fantastic.
Second time visiting and another flawless stay. All areas are clean and maintained. Food is always a good selection and the drinks are always cold and generous. I don't usually leave reviews but after a second good stay, I thought I'd make an exception.
We were so impressed with our stay. It was absolutely beautiful and enjoyed every moment. What made our stay was not the view, the atmosphere but THE ENTERTAINMENT. Ebby and Sofi were AMAZING. They made our stay so impeccable. The vibe they brought was great and not to mention they speak 7 languages WOW🥰🥰🥰
Thoroughly Disappointed – Not Worth the Money or StressI rarely leave negative reviews, but after our stay at Blue Sea Island Hotel in Rhodes, I feel it’s important to share our experience to help others avoid the same disappointment. From the moment we arrived, things started going wrong. We had booked a lagoon room with a shared pool, which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, but were instead given a basic land-view room facing a brick wall. When we raised the issue at reception, we were met by a rude and unhelpful staff member, who told us to come back in two hours to speak to the manager. After returning and waiting another 30 minutes, we were then told the manager wasn’t available and to come back the next day. When we finally did speak to the manager, they were completely unhelpful, simply advising us to take the issue up with Jet2. The only offer made was a voucher for the à la carte restaurant—which was already included in the stay and required no compensation. To make matters worse, when we tried to book the à la carte restaurant four days in advance, we were told it was fully booked for the entire duration of our stay—rendering the so-called "compensation" completely useless. The hotel lacked any sort of atmosphere, and there was minimal entertainment for both children and adults. It felt lifeless and poorly managed. The food was repetitive and bland, with very little change from day to day and a clear lack of variety or inspiration. One of the most concerning issues was that after returning from a long day out, we discovered the cleaner had left our room door wide open. Thankfully, nothing was stolen, but the door had been left unsecured for an unknown amount of time, which is an inexcusable lapse in basic security. That being said, the location of the hotel is its only real redeeming feature. It is ideally situated, with a bus stop right outside the hotel offering easy access to Old Town Rhodes and Lindos for just €4 for a single trip. You can also walk to Kolympia, which offers nicer shops and restaurants than the hotel, making it a much better alternative for dining and shopping outside of the hotel’s limited offerings.Ultimately, this was a frustrating and underwhelming experience from start to finish. Poor customer service, incompetent management, and a lack of basic hospitality standards ruined what should have been a relaxing holiday. I would absolutely not return and strongly advise others to avoid Blue Sea Island if they’re looking for a smooth, stress-free stay in Rhodes.
