Unforgettable Dinner at Epta PigesEpta Piges was a highlight of our time in Rhodes. The traditional Greek food was outstanding—especially the steak cooked over an open fire. The service was incredible, and the owner and his son made us feel like part of the family, even treating us to complimentary dessert and wine while sharing the history of the restaurant.Though it’s a bit of a drive from the shore, the scenic route is worth it. The restaurant is set by a natural spring, surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife, creating a truly magical atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Located right before your journey to the 7 Springs (which can be tricky to find), this tavern is a hidden gem! They offer many delicious meat options, even by the kilo. You can dine inside with music and Jacko or sit outside enjoying the scenic view with peacocks and cats. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, and parking is conveniently nearby with an electric car charging station. The pork with honey is highly recommended, and we were treated to free ice creams at the end - a lovely touch!
The waiters were very reluctant to serve, and we waited for great periods of time in between each interaction, especially when we were done, had paid and we're waiting for plates to be cleared. That took at least 15 minutes. We sat inside, and eventually when we went to ask for a waiter, were told that those tables were for drinking and if we wanted to eat we needed to go outside, but my grandmother can't walk easily so they reluctantly served us at the table.
Magical place with many peacocks around. The river and the forest make it really special. The staff is very friendly and kind, they even brought us a citronella candle when we asked for it. The food is delicious. There is available parking and kids activities. Highly recommended!!
Remarkable place to visit, the walk through the tunnel to the dam is a rare an interesting experience. The bottom of the tunnel can be a bit stony, so shoes that you can wear in water are an asset. If you are shorter in stature you can walk along the sides, but the tunnel gets both low and narrow, so be prepared. The bar restaurant is always occupied, but drinks and meals seem to be reasonably priced. The peacocks all around the area are a delight to watch.
